C
omparing penthouses, like-for-like is an almost impossible task. These flagship dwellings, often spread over several of the top floors of a tower, as developers test the definition of the term, are intended as the most luxurious example of what’s available at a scheme – both physically and aesthetically. Consequently, they often go beyond the constraints of the lower properties with configurations unavailable elsewhere at the development and sometimes radically different from homes of similar size and position in others. Take the three remaining apartments on sale at Canary Wharf Group’s flagship One Park Drive tower, for example. They range in price from £3.95million to £4.4million and in size from 1,637sq ft to 2,122sq ft. The development is located about a half-hour walk from Canary Wharf, but is 10 minutes from Canning Town station offering connections via the DLR and Jubilee lines to Stratford and central London. There’s also a direct bus service to the Wharf that stops nearby.
