New site infrastructure at the Eagle Gold Mine: fi xed conveyor, truck shop and water treatment plant.

MINE UPDATE

New Site Infrastructure at the Eagle Gold Mine

Over the winter, the Eagle Gold Mine construction team was busy developing new infrastructure at site including a

new truck shop, conveyor extension and water treatment

plant.

“Since the mine started production in the Fall of 2019, the Victoria Gold team has gained experience operating through three winters to evaluate our operations and assess e ciencies,” says Victoria Gold President & CEO John McConnell. Construction of the site’s new truck shop began in the second quarter of 2021 and is now complete. It was designed and built with four full-size maintenance bays and one wash bay; each sized to accommodate the largest mobile equipment on site. A fi xed conveyor was also installed to support ore stacking to the upper areas of the mine’s heap leach facility (HLF). This additional conveyor was successfully constructed, commissioned and tied into the existing conveyance system over a six-week period and will feed ore directly onto the in-pad mobile stacking system for the next 18 to 24 months (until a new conveyor is installed). With the additional fi xed conveyor complete, the team is now fully dedicated to building the site’s new Water Treatment Plant (WTP). Construction of the concrete foundations is underway and commissioning is scheduled for August with operation to commence shortly thereafter. The WTP will treat mine contact water for discharge, as per the mine’s operations permits. “This new Water Treatment Plant ensures that we meet our discharge requirements even in the most extreme weather events and with very high protection of the environment,” adds McConnell.

The Eagle Gold Mine is situated within Victoria Gold’s 100 per cent-owned Dublin Gulch Property located approximately 375 kilometres north of Whitehorse and 85 kilometres north, northeast of the Village of Mayo, within the traditional territory of the First Nation of Na-Cho Nyak Dun (FNNND). The company employs over 500 workers and contractors; half of which are Yukoners At Work and many are FNNND citizens. If you are a Yukoner with mining experience, Victoria Gold encourages you to become a Yukoner At Work.
