Wheeling Township offers bus service for Wheeling Township residents Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Call 847-259-7743 between the hours of 9:00 am and 1:30 pm to schedule transportation. Reservations should be made two days before the travel date.

EARTH DAY

Location: Heritage Park Performance Pavilion

Celebrate Earth Day with the whole family! Take a nature walk, learn about all the beautiful wildlife Wheeling has to offer, and view live animals up close. Exhibitors will be hand to present information on the environment and answer all your questions about how to make our planet a better place.

SENIOR PROM

Location: CRC Gymnasium

Get dressed up and spend time dancing with friends, old and new! Live 50’s, 60’s & 70’s music by the band the Sting Rays. Dinner, dessert, and one drink ticket is included. Beer and wine will be available for purchase on site.

PUZZLE PALOOZA

Location: CRC

Registration Deadline: 4/25

Register a team of up to 4 people to compete in a 500 piece puzzle race! Teams will race to complete the puzzle the fastest and the members of the winning group will receive a gift card! Snacks will be provided. Fee is per team-1 Member registers and gives the names of their teammates.

BARK IN THE PARK

Location: Heritage Park Performance Pavilion

Join us for a morning of fun for you and your furry friends! This event includes an agility course, photo booth and dogfriendly goodies while supplies last. Attendees will have the opportunity to adopt a new best friend from Heartland Animal Shelter! Heartland’s mission is to provide care, humane treatment and adoption for dogs and cats in need through community outreach, progressive programs and partnership collaborations. All pets must be leashed.

Sign up with a teammate and join us for the day at Chamber Park Courts in Wheeling for an unsanctioned just for fun Pickleball Tournament. Teams will play a round robin format. Winners will receive prizes. Water and lights snacks provided. The tournament is divided into Social and Competitive Levels within each division. Sign up for MIXED, MENS, or WOMENS Divisions. Players are encouraged to bring a chair and plenty of water. Sign up as a team and pay a team fee.

Commit to learning the game of Pickleball with other beginners in this 2 hour beginner clinic. These sessions are a great way for brand new players to learn the sport of Pickleball. Players will learn the basics of play including stroke mechanics, how to serve, dink, drive and more in drill and game-based scenarios. By the end of the session, players will have the confidence to participate in drop-in pickleball programs.
