Why the Wheeling Park District? Every day the Wheeling Park District provides memorable experiences in parks and recreation that enrich the lives of our community. On average, more than 375,000 visitors take part in programs, events and activities at Wheeling Park District at extraordinary facilities like Heritage Park, the Family Aquatic Center and Chevy Chase Country Club. The Park District also manages 20 sites on 342 acres, providing programs, activities and events throughout the year, reaching every corner of our community. Research also shows that 98% of guests share their experiences directly with friends and neighbors, and indirectly with their social media contacts and followers.
