Summer in the mountains boasts long days, plenty of sunshine, and warm temperatures. Why go inside to eat? There are plenty of places to dine outside, and these are a few of our favourites.

Perfect Patios Nothing says summer like a patio. Evil Dave’s (p 109) has a new patio with excellent service and modern, internationally inspired cuisine. Something Else (p 110) has a sidewalk patio with authentic Greek hospitality. The Inn Grill (p 112) has a flower filled atrium to enjoy their hearty, Canadian inspired cuisine. At ORSO Trattoria (p 109), enjoy fine dining with stunning views of Lac Beauvert.
On Location Looking to get outta town? Dine on location at Maligne Canyon Wilderness Kitchen (p 110) and enjoy smokehouse favourites at one of Jasper’s most iconic sights. Just outside of town, Tekarra (p 109) serves hearty, homecooked meals. Enjoy dinner and a drink on their fully licenced patio and lawn. The Pines (p 112) at Pyramid Lake Resort (p 115) boasts excellent views all year long. Take in the lake with your meal and relax, Jasper style. At Maligne Lake, dine on the expansive patio at The View (p 112) and connect with the stunning natural landscape. Peaceful Picnics Grab some takeout and ditch the crowds with a picnic at a scenic location. Lake Annette (p 93) has a lakeside picnic area with a playground, a beach, and an easy, paved walking trail. The lake is sometimes warm enough for swimming. Pyramid Island (p 93) is accessible by footbridge. The lakeshore picnic sites have fire pits and interpretative signs about the area. Sixth Bridge (p 93) is a quiet, forested area where two rivers meet. Fire pits are available for public use.

For traditional breakfasts, pizza by the slice, and Canadian poutine, Lou Lou's Pizzeria (p 110) is where the locals go.
