Fun and affordable dates for... Cody Jackson, 12 + Kayla Walker Together 2 years “We went to Lake Norman and rented a pontoon. They had a lot of different tubes that you could use and then switch out for other ones. We stayed on the lake all day and then ate dinner at the diner that was part of the rental place.”
Jessica Parce, 12 + Trevor Coe Together 1 year “We went up to Breech Mountain to go snowboarding for the day. We both have a passion for it and have our own equipment, so it was fairly cheap and extremely fun. Afterward we visited the Appalachian State University campus and got some really good pizza.”
Grace Buckner, 9 + Josh Robinson, 9 Together 1 year
Jake Ashba, 12 + Maggie Conner, 12 Together 1 year
“We went to the zoo, and we saw people feed the elephants so they would do tricks for us. Then we went into the bird exhibit and saw the penguins playing in the water. It was fun because we saw all the animals in their different habitats, and we got to do something out of the ordinary together.”
“My girlfriend and I meet up at my house and make food for a picnic. We drive up to the top of my neighborhood, Hebron Mountain, and from the top we can see out all of Etowah and Hendersonville. We just lie out on a blanket and just chill there for a while. Sometimes we go up at night and look at the stars.”
Keely Andress, 12 + Blake Hill Together 2 years
Gage Lapka, 11 + Cassidy Ward, 10 Together 7 months
“Blake and I went to the Grove Park Inn and walked around during Christmas time. We saw the gingerbread houses and the big tree in the center of the Inn. The weather was really nice, and we got hot chocolate and then sat next to the big fire place. The view from the Inn is really beautiful, and it was really romantic.”
“We like to go hiking a lot on the Parkway. Sometimes while we’re up there we take pictures. Once we went hiking, and when we got to the top, it started pouring. It was really fun to run back in the rain. He even carried me part of the way.”
