Seniors to continue education while competing in collegiate athletics Converse College, Division II Volleyball Q: What are you most looking forward to about participating in college athletics? A: The skill level is going to be a lot more challenging, but I’m excited to start a new chapter of my volleyball career. Q: What advice would you give underclassmen playing volleyball next year? A: This sounds really cliche, but if you really want to achieve your goals, never give up and keep working.

Brevard College, Division II Soccer Q: What are you most looking forward to about participating in college athletics? A: I’m looking forward to a higher level of play in college, and for me to fine-tune my play. Also, the independence. I’m ready to grow up and move on with my life. Q: How do you think high school soccer has prepared you for college level soccer? A: High school helped me learn how to work with my teammates and taught me how to play as a team.

N.C. State University, Division I Baseball Q: What are you going to miss from your years at West and playing baseball? A: Since I’ve come to West, my knowledge of the game has grown. I’m going to miss my teammates and coaches, but I’m thankful to them for helping me. Q: How do you feel about attending one of the largest universities in North Carolina? A: It’s a little intimidating and scary. There will be a lot of new faces, but I will have the baseball team.

Brevard College, Division II Cheerleading Q: What are you most looking forward to about participating in college athletics? A: I’m not really sure. It’s very different from high school cheerleading. They have a competitive team. Brevard cheerleaders do not travel to away games Q: What do you like most about Brevard’s campus? A: I really like the atmosphere there. It’s very outdoorsy Both my parents went there so that’s a benefit.

UNC-Asheville, Division I Soccer Q: What made you decide to play college soccer? A: Being a part of the team and participating in college soccer has always been a dream of mine. Q: What are you most looking forward to about competing at the collegiate level? A: I was on the fence about playing. I knew the UNC-Asheville coach, and I liked the team so I wanted to see if I could make it work. They provided an opportunity for me to play with them.

Gardner-Webb University, Division I Volleyball Q: Why did you decide to go to Gardner-Webb? A: I feel like I am part of a family there. It is a great atmosphere that is going to be awesome to be around. Q: What are you most looking forward to? A: This past year I suffered a knee injury and had to sit out my entire senior season, which was incredibly difficult for me. I’m grateful to be relentlessly seeking improvement for another four years with some awesome coaches and great teammates.
