FRESH LOOK How does Pat Shelley spend his summer vacations? For the last nine years he has spent his summers painting city buildings, including city hall, the windmill, public restrooms and 105 storage doors at the marina. This summer one of his projects was the senior center. After twenty-seven years we got a fresh look. No, those are not new doors that greet you. It’s four coats of stain and polish and new handles. A BIG THANK-YOU to Pat for his hard work and our fresh look.

The parade will commence at 2 p.m. and is estimated to last 45 minutes to an hour. The Parade route will be West from Midway Blvd & Pioneer Way to Highway 20 ending in front of Ace Hardware. When Terry Lacey asked “Why don’t we have a Veterans Day parade in Oak Harbor?” after participating in the Burlington Veterans Day Parade, no one seemed to have an answer other than “the weather in November”. Our veterans did not stop protecting our FREEDOM because of the weather so why not celebrate Veterans Day
