Come on a short walk to learn the basics about our ever-changing beaches at Fort Casey. Why is Admiralty inlet so unique?

Where does all the driftwood come from? If you are new to beach processes, this is the walk for you! You might even be lucky and see some wildlife. Wear your walking shoes and a jacket. This will be an easy 1 hour, 1 mile walk with some uneven paths, stepping over driftwood, and a steep incline at the end. Discover Pass is required. Langley Soup Box Derby Sunday, August 25 First Street, Langley Since 1972, First Street in Downtown Langley has been home to some of the speediest and wackiest “soup box” racers one day every fall. Anyone can build a racer that can make it down a hill. But the Soup Box Derby is all about ingenuity, creativity, and a little bit of that Langley weirdness. Nick Mardon fronts the band with melodic vocals and a distinguished guitar sound. The rhythm section features Greg Olson on the electric bass and Andy Emery on drums and percussion.

August 21: PETE PETE is the quintessential Whidbey Island garage band, performing rock & blues dance music and American groove music. The band is comprised of Goosefoot’s own Fredde Butterworth on drums, Tom Hoeflich and Dave Draper on guitar, and Marc Strader on bass.

The Whidbey Island Music Festival celebrates it's 14th season of fine barque and classical chamber music with six performances over two weekends. There will be a pre-concert talk 45 minutes before each performance.
