Honors Women In Construction

84Lumber celebrated Women in Construction Week March 5-11, and is among the growing number of companies eager to raise awareness regarding the opportunities available to everyone in the construction industry and also to emphasize the growing role of women in the industry.

“Now is the perfect time for women to consider a career in construction,” said 84 Lumber Owner and President Maggie Hardy. “The construction industry needs more qualified individuals to keep up with the growing demand. There are many different paths to starting a career in construction.”

Here are some of the women recognized by 84 Lumber during the special week.

The 26th Annual Wine Tasting and Silent Auction

The CLO Ambassadors are a diverse group of individuals who increase awareness of the Pittsburgh CLO mission through their participation in a variety of theatrical, social and educational events including the Wine Tasting and Silent Auction and the Gene Kelly Awards.

The band was students of the CENTER FOR LIFE JAZZ BAND from the Center for Life in Hazelwood. Founded in 2001 by Tim Smith, Center of Life (COL) supports the people of Hazelwood as they strive to be strong and to make their community strong. With its roots planted deeply in the community and supported by extraordinary partners, COL serves Hazelwood and its surrounding communities with rich academic out-of-school programs and outstanding experiences in music and arts.

Pittsburgh CLO Academy’s Summer Performance Camps are designed to give those with dreams of performing on stage the opportunity to work with professional directors, music directors, and choreographers to create and present an exciting musical theater experience.
