Whiskey N’ Ride is a quarterly photography journal inspired by a drive to
capture and share experiences had on two wheels. Discoveries on Midwestern backroads seem so much sweeter when fought for tooth and nail, just as a morning commute through Chicago can seem a choatic sprint for dear life. Memorable experiences are generally lacking when encased in a metal coffin moving at 60mph. Travel merely becomes a dull waiting period between points A and B. This first issue is a chronicle of what happens when the journey is considered not just a part, but the main focus of travel. 100 miles and 5000 ft. of climbing on fixed gear and single speed, through the St. Croix River Valley’s section of The Great River Road.
