We’ve had another busy month with lots of celebrations, activities, and new residents and team members.

Local artist and relative of one our residents, Hilary Thorpe, has started a weekly arts and crafts course with our residents. This has been hugely popular and, so far, has included painting and making paper flowers, all with wonderfully bright colours! Other activities have continued apace including singalongs with Steve Maltby, Tai Chi, movie nights in our cinema, and a trip to Whitby harbour.

We had fun celebrating US Independence Day on 4 July. The Mayfield was suitably decorated, and our brilliant kitchen team made a delicious selection of homemade ice cream, burgers, hot dogs, and other US-inspired delights!

There were new faces at The Mayfield this month with lots of new residents and team members joining us. It has been a pleasure to get to know them and all have settled in well to our growing family. All our new team members complete thorough induction training when they join us, and we were delighted to welcome Clare and Alana, amongst others, shown with their certificates here.
