White Bear Legion enters playoffs with 3-8 record
White Bear Lake’s Legion baseball team finished the regular season with a 3-8 overall record. They are slated to start district playoffs at Mounds View, opening against Rosetown. The team is coached by Sean Burns, an assistant on the high school staff. Most of the players are juniors-to-be who played junior varsity in the high school season. The main pitchers are
Matt Anderson, Tyler Hilderman and Connor Stanley. Burns cited Anderson and Hilderman as the leading hitters and outfielder Preston Peloquin as a defensive standout. White Bear Lake has beaten Hamline Red twice and Brainerd once, while losing to Brainerd three times, Tri City Maroon twice, Tri-City Red twice, Hamline Purple twice, and Roseville and Rosetown.
