CORE MATERIALS We use tried and tested Poplar and Ash woods. The two woods are laminated first and then the pair of cores are CNC’d together from the same blank core. Our approach with this process is quite unique, we are proud of the results because it makes each ski a matched pair which ensures the skis perform and flex in the same way. Poplar remains an industry standard due to its durability and elasticity while Ash, as a hard wood, strategically placed under the bindings (for retention) gives unparalleled pop and strength. The wooden cores in all of our skis are produced from materials sourced from sustainable forests.

CARBON ARAMID A mixture of Carbon and Kevlar is found in every Whitedot ski; we use Carbon/Kevlar stringers that are constructed from this material or as with the new Carbonlite series you will find 618gm/SqM sheets within the construction of that range. We use and integrate the Carbon Aramid for it’s consistent strength, weight saving abilities, pop and excellent bonding properties when used in conjunction with Carbon-fibre.

CARBON FIBRE A well known material and used worldwide in an array of technical and detailed products however we use Carbon-fibre because it gives our skis extremely light weight properties, added strength and pop whilst keeping the volumes of materials in the construction to a minimum. We apply 618gm/SqM layers in each model in our Carbonlite series.

FLAX Otherwise known as linen. Although Flax is an age old material, its use amongst sports equipment manufacturers is only relatively recent. Whitedot is pushing forward with its use and integration of Flax within our skis, we are at the forefront in developments with this exciting material. We have optimised it within the Carbonlite series; layers of Flax produce a lighter, stronger and denser material than tri-axle fibre-glass yet offer unparalleled dampening properties.

FIBRE GLASS We continue to use this fibre-glass in our skis, every Whitedot ski uses tri-axle fibre-glass for its known power transition and torsional rigidity along with a biaxle fibre-glass for strength. To aid the reduction of vibration and chatter from the tip and tail of our models, we apply an additional platform of bi-axle fibreglass at both the tip and tail. Additionally, we add a dry weave binding retention plate that is designed with fibres that when drilled enclose the binding screws for further retention, when this is paired with the screw adhesive it forms an incredibly strong bond.

MATERIALS

BASE MATERIAL Each Whitedot ski is finished with an ISO 7200 high speed 1.2mm base. We use this standard of ISO 7200 material because it allows for a reliable, smooth and efficient glide whilst at the same time the wax absorption properties are extremely high so it retains the wax for longer. In order to make our skis stand-out from the crowd and get noticed we die-cut each base with a precision laser to ensure they have a perfect bond and seal against each section.

360° EDGES The edges on Whitedot skis are all put through a custom built machine that is programmed with the profile of the ski. This feeds the steel edge material through and perfectly forms the metal to the shape of each ski. This creates a seamless finish to the edge of our skis and with only one join point at the tail of the ski reduces the chance of edge pulls and blow-outs.

LACQUERING The incredible finish that you see on every ski is produce by two layers of flowing lacquer. This not only makes every ski look stunning though also adds strength to the high performance ISO screen printed topsheet foil.

MATERIALS

Edge Grinding When finishing the skis after removing them from the press, the edges have to be ground down to remove any excess resin or materials to create a smooth, sharp finish to the 360° edges.

B M E Innovation Drives Performance + Positive camber + Tip rocker + Tip and tail rocker

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

RS

POSITIVE CAMBER Positive camber is how most people think a ski should look; when a pair of skis are placed together, the tips and tails touch near either end of the ski, with an air gap in the middle. This has the advantage of pressing the tip and tail of the ski into the snow, giving the ski maximum stability from the very start of the turn through to the finish. With the in-built ‘spring’ of the camber bringing a level of liveliness to the ride on firm snow. + PREACHER

TIP ROCKER In soft conditions adding a degree of rise to the tip smooths the entry of the ski through the snow, allowing the ski to plane quicker and earlier than a conventional cambered ski. When turning in both soft and hard conditions the added lift in the tip means the first part of the ski is de-cambered and ‘pre-bent’ into a carving profile, resulting in less effort to initiate a turn, in all conditions. + R SERIES

TIP + TAIL ROCKER Where the tip affects the first stage of a turn the tail affects the latter stage, reducing the pressure of the ski pushing into the snow. In softer conditions where the tail is partially sunk this will reduce drag, making it easier to break the tail free. Our signature full length sidecut combined with tail rocker frees up the tail without sacrificing grip, giving you a high level of maneuverability. + ALTUM SERIES + RAGNAROK SERIES

UNIQUE TO WHITEDOT All of our skis are manufactured in pairs and that is how they remain.

All of the wooden core off-cuts are recycled and burnt in the furnace to heat the factory.

All of the cores in Whitedot skis are milled together and then pressed together to ensure that each pair retains the same characteristics.

The composite off-cuts are ground to be recycled into cement, again minimising our wastage.

We design our topsheet graphics so that they not only look great but also highlight the ski shape and profile, making it clear to the end user

Preacher ALL-MOUNTAIN

From Piste to Powder, effortlessly. Our all-mountain, single quiver, cambered, ski. The Preacher has won independent ski tests, Freeride World Tour podiums and professional athlete accolades. The Preacher offers a lot of floatation in deep powder yet the positive camber and full length torsional stiffness allows for an incredible edge hold on even the hardest pistes. A 155mm wide tip allows for ease of turn initiation, and the tip is tapered to avoid hooking in soft snow.

From Piste to Powder, effortlessly. Our unique Carbon layup brings added weight-saving and durability to the Preacher and combines it with a shape that continues to give large amounts of float in the fresh snow.
