Metra è un sistema di tavoli il cui nome ha origine da Idrometra, l’insetto che grazie alla leggerezza e alla struttura del suo corpo può galleggiare a filo d’acqua. Le gambe dei tavoli richiamano quella perfezione naturale. Su un’identica struttura si appoggiano numerosi top, colorati e in diversi materiali. Molteplici anche i formati che si possono combinare ottenendo soluzioni svariate e flessibili. Metra è stato segnalato al Compasso d’Oro del 2001.
Metra est un système de table dont le nom dérive de Idrometra, l’insecte qui, grâce à la légèreté et à la structure de son corps peut flotter au fil de l’eau. Les pieds des tables rappellent cette perfection naturelle. De nombreux plateaux colorés et dans des matériaux divers reposent sur une telle structure. De nombreux formats pouvant être composés entre eux permettent égale ment d’obtenir des solutions variées et flexibles. Metra a été signalé au Compasso d’Oro en 2001.
Metra is a range of tables that has taken its name from Hydrometra the water gnat, whose lightweight body structure lets it float on the surface of the water. The table legs recall that natural perfection. Many brightly coloured tops in various materials rest on an identical frame. There are also many sizes and shapes that can be mixed and matched to obtain varying, flexible arrangements. Metra obtained a mention at the Compasso d’Oro in 2001.
Metra ist ein Tischsystem, das seinen Namen dem Teichläufer “Hydrometra” verdankt. Dieses Insekt ist nämlich dank seiner Leichtigkeit und seiner Körperstruktur in der Lage, auf der Wasseroberfläche zu laufen. Die Tischbeine erinnern an diese natürliche Perfektion. Auf ein und die selbe Struktur werden verschiedene farbige Abschlussplatten aus unterschiedlichen Materialien gelegt. Explore daily life starting from the kitchen, using a material reduced to the minimum with regard to its commercial, production and image characteristics: steel wire. Products with a beauty that is closely related to the function and suggestive of a gesture, an action and sometimes of a possible relationship between persons.
Partir de la cuisine pour explorer le quotidien en utilisant un matériau réduit au minimum en raison de ses caractéristiques commerciales, de production et d’image: le fil d’acier. Des ustensiles réalisés par de jeunes concepteurs partageant un même projet et ayant accepté le défi de valoriser les potentialités expressives du métal. Produits dotés d’une beauté étroitement adaptée à la fonction et évocatrice d’un geste, d’une action et, parfois, d’une possibilité de relation entre les personnes.
Den Alltag angefangen beim Ambiente Küche erforschen und dabei ein im Hinblick auf die kommerziellen, produktiven und imagegebundenen Merkmale auf ein Minimum reduziertes Material verwenden: den Stahldraht.
