WELCOME
This season’s highlights... This season alongside the great line-up of entertainment, which includes, fabulous children’s shows, headlining comedians and spine chilling drama the White Rock Theatre is proud to present two youth project productions, Disney’s High School Musical Jr in April and The Wedding Singer in August. Our youth theatre projects bring together young people from 8 to 18 years old, singing, dancing, acting and working backstage. We’re very proud of them and delighted that they, and their families, put so much effort into making these shows such a success. Why not come along and see what they can do? Who knows, you might be seeing the stars of the future, right here on our stage! We are delighted to be continuing our support of Great Ormond Street Hospital’s Theatres for Theatres appeal which aims to fund two, new stateof-the-art operating theatres. White Rock Theatre audiences have helped HQ Theatres, together with its sister company Qdos Pantomimes, raise over £70,000 in just a few months. Thank you! I hope that when you see a collecting bucket or tin with the Great Ormond Street Hospital logo on it around the Theatre, you will give what you can. Your generosity is appreciated.

‘Vine is a supreme punmeister’ Time Out
Opera South East takes to the seas with HMS Pinafore. This nautical tale tells of a Captain’s lass who loves a lowly sailor, but her sense of social propriety prevents her from doing anything about it until he threatens to throw himself overboard. Add to the mix an Admiral who has never set foot on a ship, a bumboat woman with a dark secret and a bevy of dancing maidens and horn-piping tars, gloriously ‘British’ music by Sir Arthur Sullivan and a sparkling sardonic libretto by W.S. Gilbert, and you have one of the most popular operettas ever written. Opera South East looks forward to welcoming you aboard.
