Royal Doulton Stoneware Mark V Marshall Vase With Dragon

Art Union of London piece. Glossy stoneware vase with dragon. Vase is initialed by the artist on the bottom. Striking three dimensional dragon wrapped around the top portion of the vase in a safeguarding pose with open mouth and teeth showing. The dragon is detailed and decorated beautifully with pointed spine, scales and elegantly formed tail. Royal Doulton England impressed on base.

Exquisitely crafted stoneware centerpiece bowl with modelled and pierced foliage decorations. Elaborately shaped bowl in blue, green and brown glazes; highly detailed incised foliate designs throughout; raised beaded design to interior. Frank A. Butler monogram incised to base. Doulton impressed backstamp. Age related wear; minor pitting to glaze.
