I participated in a Whole Thinking Leadership Retreat in August 2004. My focus for many years has been locally grown food. I am one of the founding organizers of the Free Harvest Supper of Locally Grown Food in Greenfield, MA (www.freeharvestsupper.org) and the Franklin County Week of Winter Fare (www.winterfare.org). Since 2007 I have written “Savoring the Seasons,� a weekly column about locally grown food in The Recorder (Greenfield, MA). My column and work on local food was recognized with the 2008 Local Hero Award from Community Involved in Sustaining Agriculture (CISA) and the 2008 Ron Prokopy Friend of Massachusetts Fruit Growers Award from the Massachusetts Fruit Growers Association.
