Program Manager Center for Whole Communities is a thriving nonprofit organization bridging the environmental and social change arenas. A leadership development center with a nationally known fellowship program, we support diverse leaders from across the country to catalyze social and environmental change through building stronger connections between people, land and community. We are based on a working organic farm in the Mad River Valley of Vermont and have broad national influence through our alumni and programs across the country. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is committed to our unique mission to serve as our Program Manager. Our Program Manager will work closely with the Deputy Director to organize and coordinate our programs for a diverse and high-powered constituency of environmental and social justice leaders from around the country. Our programs are offered at our base in Vermont, as well as around the country throughout the year. Responsibilities of this position focus on education program implementation, but given our small staff, also include operations support and general office administrative duties. Strong organizational and administrative skills are essential.
Program responsibilities include: • • • • • • • • • • • • •
Organize/implement our fellowship nomination and selection process Lead scheduling and faculty planning process for retreat season Manage all retreat and workshop logistics Communicate regularly with retreat and workshop participants Serve as primary liaison for all travel schedules with faculty and fellows Work with Education Team to plan and coordinate logistics for annual faculty retreat Track retreat and workshop expense budget Manage fellowship travel assistance budget Be able to explain and advocate for our curriculum and programs to all constituents across the board Serve as primary liaison in booking and arranging speaking engagements, alumni events and workshops Work with client organizations to coordinate logistics for workshops Coordinate logistics for alumni workshops and gatherings Generate and follow through with contract agreements for all workshops and speaking engagements
General administration responsibilities include: • • • • •
Be the first point of contact by email and phone for folks connecting with Center for Whole Communities Maintain organizational calendar Help to coordinate CWC events Cultivate and maintain relationships with CWC alumni Provide administrative support to Executive Director as needed
