WHOMADE / design for the avant-craft is a project for research products raising the idea of a cutting-edge craftsmanship, for a new narrative of the object. From its creative studio, WHOMADE promotes a design action alternative to the rapid consumption of ideas and resources, supporting and improving the handicraft excellence sector in creating quality products for small-medium productions and limited editions. Based on an innovative approach to creativity, WHOMADE proposes unique design collections for the contemporary home, as an expression of a perfect synthesis between handicraft know-how and artistic inspiration. Ancient shapes and materials, symbols of memories and traditions, acquire a new personality and thus become the mouthpiece of new ideas and emotions. Vases, centrepieces, trays, lamps, original items and fittings, with their invaluable knowledge, are ready to tell their soul and the art of those who produce them.
