Author: Ana Gallo | Katherine Quinn From the reader report by: Anne Cohen Beucher

Animal Friendships gives us an unusual glimpse into the lives of these famous people and their beloved pets. Each artist is given a double page: one contains a potted biography with carefully chosen pet-related anecdotes, offering a different insights into these people who left their mark on their era. On the other page, the artist has portrayed the animal in question using various illustration techniques against an elaborate and colourful background. The tender portrait focuses on the expressive eyes of the pet. Both informative and beautifully produced, this book is a success.
