Hello Welcome to the 2nd edition of our 2014 holiday brochure. The next edition for 2015 will be available from 1st July.

We are a family business who have been serving the local area since 1996 and pride ourselves on our high standards of service. Over the years our fleet has expanded but we retain the personal touch and attention to detail on which we have built our business. Your enjoyment of your holiday is our driving motivation!

Over the years we have brought in new innovations such as extra legroom and our extremely popular Home Collection and Return Service and we always try to offer something for everyone. We are particularly delighted that we have so many repeat customers and hope you will find something again in this issue. New for 2014 is the ability to book your holiday or day excursion on-line. Just go to the website and click the Book Now button to enter the booking system. If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact the office or pop in and see us in Highcliffe.

We will answer any questions, arrange your coach seating and collection details. A £40 per person deposit is payable to secure your seat. Your balance payment is due 6 weeks before departure. If you are booking within 6 weeks of departure full payment is required. If your holiday includes Home Collection we will write to you 2 weeks before departure to advise your collection time.

We accept payment by cheque, cash, debit card & credit card.

Our Coaches We regularly upgrade our fleet of modern coaches to offer a high level of comfort. Seats have been removed where required to provide generous legroom on all vehicles. Air conditioning is fitted throughout and all vehicles also have toilet facilities, comfortable reclining seats, armrests, tinted glass and seat belts. Our fleet is maintained independently to the highest of standards and we also take great pride in the presentation of every vehicle.

Due to the high cost of processing credit cards we have to apply a 3% administration charge. You can also pay by internet banking - please phone for details.

Home Collection Service Throughout the brochure you will notice that our Home Collection Service is indicated in the ‘Holiday Includes’ box. On these holidays you will be collected and returned to your home via a taxi organised by us. On these tours we operate a limited amount of pick up places ensuring that your holiday will start and end efficiently. To qualify for the free Home Collection service you must live in the area from Poole to Lymington and south of Ferndown. Home Collection from one address per room booked is provided free on these holidays - additional addresses may incur a charge.

Sister hotel of The Chatsworth Hotel, we return to the excellent 3* Mansion Lions Hotel directly overlooking the beach. Within easy walking the St Marychurch Shopping precinct offers a variety of shops and cafes and nearby is the famous Babbacombe Model Village. Time to explore Babbacombe before dinner. During our stay at the hotel there will be some evening entertainment. DAY 2 : Today we have an excursion along the edge of Dartmoor to Plymouth. We will be joined by a local guide for a coach tour which will include Plymouth Hoe, Devonport Naval Dockyard, Brunel’s magnificent Royal Albert Bridge and the Barbican area before free time in the city centre.

DAY 3 : A day at leisure today in Babbacombe. You could take the cliff railway down to the beach, enjoy the superb panoramic views from the clifftop or you can take the bus along the coast. DAY 4 : Today we depart for the amazing Buckfast Abbey with plenty of time to stroll around these tranquil surroundings before you have the opportunity to board the splendid South Devon Steam Railway to the lovely town of Totnes. Train fare extra. DAY 5 : We depart the hotel in the morning and head home, stopping on route for lunch before arriving back in the local area mid/late afternoon.

Based in the historic town of Carmarthen, with a history dating back to the Romans, we discover the breathtaking landscape of the Pembrokeshire National Park on a spectacular coastal drive taking in the varied scenery and an abundance of wildlife and fauna. Also included is an excursion to the unspoilt Gower Peninsula, Britain’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Some of the very best scenery in Britain. DAY 2 : Today we have an excursion to the splendid National Botanic Garden part of which is housed in large glasshouses similar to the Eden Project - well worth a visit (Entrance inc).

Arriving back in Carmarthen mid afternoon with free time. DAY 3 : We shall be joined by our local guide for an excursion to the beautiful Gower Peninsula including a visit to The Mumbles. Fantastic unspoilt scenery and many of the beaches on the peninsula are regarded as the best in Britain. DAY 4 : A lovely excursion today as we have a spectacular coastal drive along the National Park coastline to delightful St David’s. DAY 5 : Sadly in the morning we depart the hotel and head home. After being collected from your local pick up point around 8.00am we have convenience stops as required before arriving late afternoon. DAY 2: Mid morning we depart for an excursion to nearby York. A lovely destination with a wonderful historic centre to explore and attractions to visit. We shall be joined by Wendy, our local guide for a fascinating walking tour followed by free time. Returning to the hotel late afternoon. DAY 3 : A day to remember today. We have included a return journey on a section of the Settle-Carlisle railway which includes travelling over the remarkable Ribblehead viaduct. REWARDING DESTINATION After being collected from your local pick up DAY 1 : point (5.30/6.00am approx.) we board the ferry from Poole to Cherbourg arriving in France at 1.45pm local time. We have used this hotel for many years and in our opinion it offers the best value for money in the centre of Bruges and is of an excellent standard. Centrally located, the 4* Hotel Portinari is situated directly opposite the central fountain with an array of pavement bars and cafes close by where you can watch the world go by.

DAY 2 : In the morning we shall have an excursion to the nearby town of Sluis, which has a lovely old centre to explore - pedestrian friendly. Returning to Bruges in the afternoon. DAY 3 : Full day at leisure in Bruges - there is plenty to do besides the attractions of the Christmas Markets. 4. IF YOU HAVE A COMPLAINT If you have a complaint during the holiday, please inform your driver/courier immediately, who will do his/her best to help you there and then. If the matter cannot be put right on the spot, you must notify us in writing within 28 days of the completion of your holiday and must be sent to our office at Highcliffe.

In accordance with “The Package Travel, Package Tour Regulations 1992” all passengers booking with Highcliffe Coach Holidays are fully bonded for the initial deposit and subsequently the balance of all monies paid to us, including repatriation if required arising from the cancellation or curtailment of your travel arrangements due to the insolvency of Highcliffe Coach Holidays. We are members of the Bonded Coach Holiday government approved consumer protection scheme administered by the Confederation of Passenger Transport UK. This ensures that, in relation to the coach package holidays described in this brochure, your monies are protected by a bond in the unlikely event of our ceasing to trade. YOUR CONTRACT WITH HIGHCLIFFE COACH HOLIDAYS 1. YOU PAY A DEPOSIT When you make your booking you must complete a booking form, accepting on behalf of all your party the terms of the Fair Trading Agreement, and pay a deposit of £40.00 per person on all holidays. 2. YOU PAY A BALANCE The balance of the fare must be paid via the office at which you made your booking at least six weeks before the holiday departure date. If the balance is not paid in time we reserve the right to cancel your holiday, retain your deposit and apply cancellation charges set out in Paragraph 5 - “If You Cancel Your Holiday”. 3. IF YOU CHANGE YOUR BOOKING If, after our confirmation has been issued you wish to change to another of our 2014 holidays or change departure date we will do our utmost to make the changes, provided that notification is received at our office from the person who signed the Booking Form or their Travel Agent, at least six weeks before the departure date. CONDITIONS OF CARRIAGE When you travel on an aircraft, train or ship, the conditions of carriage of that carrier apply and are subject to national and international conditions, which may limit or exclude liability. Your contract under the terms of this Fair Trading Agreement is subject to English law and jurisdiction. Some coach journeys are operated by vehicles other than those owned by Highcliffe Coaches and the specification may be different to that detailed in this brochure. The Public Service Vehicle (Conduct of Drivers, Conductors and Passengers) Regulations as amended 1936, apply to all coaches throughout any holiday in the UK. 8. INSURANCE We strongly advise you to take out travel insurance to protect yourself from the costs of illness, cancellation and a host of other possible losses and liabilities. This is particularly important when travelling to foreign destinations. If you would like us to be able to contact your insurance company in the case of an emergency, please leave details with the office before departure. We do not sell travel insurance direct but can provide details of our preferred supplier if required. Towergate Chapman Stevens are Travel Insurance Specialists in the Coach Industry. 9. OTHER TERMS ON A HOLIDAY YOU MUST NOT: a) Bring a pet or any other animal ( other than Guide Dogs) b) Play a radio or a cassette player on the coach. c) Excursions are included in the price of most holidays and refunds cannot be made for passengers not wishing to go on these excursions. Admission fees to buildings, grounds, etc are not included in the price unless otherwise stated in the brochure. We must point out that Highcliffe Coaches reserve the unconditional right to refuse a booking, or terminate a passenger's holiday in the event of unreasonable conduct. You are responsible for ensuring that you are at the correct departure point at the correct time and we cannot be liable for any loss or expense suffered by passengers because of their late arrival at any departure point. OUR PROMISE TO YOU 1. WE RESERVE YOUR HOLIDAY When you or your travel agent has provisionally confirmed that we have available space on the holiday of your choice, a confirmation/invoice will be forwarded to you normally within 14 days on receipt of your signed booking form and the contract is made between us when you receive this confirmation. In the event that a holiday was sold through a travel agent who defaulted, we guarantee your holiday on production of adequate documentation to establish the sale. 2. YOUR HOLIDAY PRICE The price of your holiday is subject to change for an increase or decrease in any of the following costs: Transportation costs including fuel (including fuel tax), ferry operator fares and tolls, embarkation or disembarkation fees at terminals. Exchange rates applied to the particular holiday booked. Duties and taxes Even in this case, we will absorb an amount equivalent to 2% of the holiday price, which excludes any insurance premium, and any amendment charges. Only amounts in excess of this 2% will be surcharged. If this means paying more than an extra 10% on the holiday price, you will be entitled to cancel your holiday with a full refund of all money paid. Should you decide to cancel because of this, you must exercise your right to do so within 14 days from the issue date printed on the revised invoice. Alternatively, you may prefer to take a comparable alternative holiday, if available, details of which will

be provided with the revised invoice. Morning coffee, afternoon tea and other refreshments are not included. Some hotels may make a small additional charge for porterage and tea or coffee served after lunch and dinner. Gratuities to the hotel staff and driver/courier are discretionary. The following currencies were used in calculating our rates for holidays in our 2014 brochure as at 1st November 2013. Euro 1.12 3. IF WE CANCEL YOUR HOLIDAY In certain circumstances including lack of response, we may have to cancel your holiday, and if this should occur we will return to you all the money you have paid to us or offer you a suitable alternative. a) Immediately prior to the departure date unless you have not paid for your holiday in full: if we then cancel your holiday you will be entitled to either a comparable holiday or a full refund b) After the balance due date, except as a result of hostilities, political unrest or other circumstances amounting to force majeure. If we have to cancel a tour, holiday or other travel arrangements at any time, we are liable only for any monies you may have paid to us at the time of cancellation. 4. IF WE CHANGE YOUR HOLIDAY The arrangements for holidays in this brochure are made many months in advance and changes are sometimes unavoidable. Most of these changes are however, very minor but where they are significant we will notify you as soon as possible before your departure date The following circumstances would be regarded as material alterations:Changes in departure point or resort area reducing the quality of your main hotel ( not single overnight hotels on touring holidays) or a change of your itinerary which involves a destination being completely eliminated from the revised itinerary. In the event of significant change you may decide to: a) Continue with the holiday as amended or b) Accept an alternative holiday which we may offer you or c) Cancel your booking If you choose a) or b) we will pay you compensation on the scale below. If you choose c) we will refund all monies paid by you plus compensation on the scale below. Period before departure within which a significant change is notified to you or your travel agent

5. WHAT HAPPENS TO COMPLAINTS All complaints that we receive are thoroughly investigated and customers kept informed at each stage of the investigation. Sometimes the investigations can take time awaiting response from hoteliers. We can normally agree an amicable settlement of the few complaints we receive. Arbitration Conditions. Disputes arising out of or in connection with this contract which cannot be amicably settled, may (if the customer so wishes) be referred to arbitration under a special Scheme which, though devised by arrangements with the Confederation of Passenger Transport, is administered quite independently by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. The Scheme (details of which will be supplied on request ) provides a simple and inexpensive method of arbitration on documents alone with the restricted liability on the customer in respect of costs. The Scheme does not apply to claims for an amount greater than £1,500.00 per person. There is also a limit of £7,500.00 per bookings form. Neither does it apply to claims which are solely or mainly in respect of physical injury or illness or the consequences of such injury or illness. 6. OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO YOU a ) We accept responsibility for the acts and /or omissions of our employees, agents, sub-contractors and suppliers and for ensuring that we provide the services as described in this brochure and to a reasonable standard. We shall not accept responsibility for death, bodily injury or illness caused to the signatory to the contract and/or any other named person on the booking form, except for negligent acts or omissions of our employees, agents, subcontractors or suppliers. Any claims arising there from shall be subject to English law in respect of any question of liability or quantum and all proceedings shall be within the exclusive domain of the English courts. b ) The following circumstances fall outside our direct control and accordingly we are not prepared to accept responsibility or liability. i) Please remember that some amenities (e.g. lifts, swimming pools, etc) require servicing and cleaning and may not therefore be available at all times. Some services may be affected by weather conditions and their availability is entirely at the discretion the provider of the service. Entertainment (particularly live entertainment) provided by hotels is frequently subject to demand and its nature and /or frequency may be varied if there is a lack of demand or insufficient numbers staying in the hotel. ii) We cannot accept responsibility for an accident or incident which occurs due to the negligence of an air or sea travel company. iii) The published running times of services are estimates only and we will not be liable for any loss ( howsoever caused ) arising from delay or failure to operate services in accordance with published timings. c) Where appropriate, and subject to reasonable discretion, we will afford general assistance to clients, who through misadventure, suffer illness, personal injury or death while travelling overseas on a Highcliffe Coaches holiday arising out of an activity which does not form part of the advertised itinerary or part of an excursion offered through the company and which is the responsibility of a third party.
