Widehorizons provides adventure learning to children and young people. We believe every child should have access to adventure as part of their education and throughout their lives. We are so much more than just an ‘activity’ organisation – we are all about adventure. Whether we are telling stories to two year olds at our environmental centre in Kent, engaging with disaffected young people in London or teaching cliff erosion with A-level students in Dorset, adventure is the tool we use. We deliver real outdoor education courses that engage children with their subject at six centres around the UK.

Pystll Rhaeadr Bryn Coedwig Centre You’ll need a team of four, supported by a driver. Your challenge will be to finish the course before sunset on June 1st. You’ll have support along the way, from the day you sign up to the moment you cross the finishing line. We’ll provide you with a training programme to help you get fit and some fundraising ideas to help you achieve your £3,000 per team target. We’ll also be there on the day, making sure you stay safe and cheering you on. On Saturday night you’ll enjoy a well-deserved dinner and awards party at our beautiful Bryntysilio centre, just outside Llangollen. Will your team win the coveted Catch the Sun trophy?
The event starts and finishes at two of our outdoor adventure centres and is marshalled by our very own team. You’ll get to see first-hand what your fundraising efforts will be used for, and also get to meet some of the people that work with the 30,000 children and young people who experience adventure at Widehorizons. You don’t need any previous experience for this challenge and we’ll provide the bikes, canoes and accommodation on Friday and Saturday night. You need to bring your spirit of adventure and the determination to help prevent children and young people from missing out on experiencing their own adventures.
