Assignment Scenario You are a small, but ambitious production company. You have been asked to work towards a brief, developing a short promotional film raising the awareness of the efforts of the Wilberforce College Study Support department and their purpose in student development and aid. Independently or in small groups (4 maximum) you are to produce a short (3-5 minutes long) promotional film / advert that highlight the existing purpose and activities relating to the colleges Study Support department. The tone of the actual short piece must remain serious throughout and include interviews with students whom have benefitted from the help of Study Support, as well as with Study Support Assistants to explain what they do. You will have to show evidence of your understanding of the potential target audience, as well as negotiating the particulars of the brief on hand with the Marketing department of the college. You will still need to develop and plan your ideas using standard research (Sketchbook, Primary & Secondary Research) and all necessary pre-production paperwork (treatment, script, storyboards, etc.) A selection of these films may well be used by Wilberforce College on their website or for other promotional purposes. We want you to produce an accessible and appropriate promotional film for Wilberforce Colleges Study Support Department bearing in mind the potential target audience, effectiveness of voiceovers, use of non copyright music, and the understanding of the legal / ethical restraints present in advertising. You must use the current Wilberforce College logo(s) and the voice-over supplied by the institution itself, located on Moodle. Documentation needed for this assignment includes: * Project Development Diary (for the duration of the project) * Completed Corporate Video Workbook * Completed Hypothetical Wilberforce College Marketing Dept.
