Albena Hristova, an international artist with over twelve years of classical art training and a master’s in mural painting, is one of the most successful open edition artists on the market. Albena started her career in Europe showing her artwork at Art Basel and creating several murals. She relentlessly searches for the perfect combination of form, color and texture. Albena travels actively around the world and searches for inspiration from nature and civilization. Her paintings exude elegance and timelessness.

Silvia Vassileva pursued her love of art at the Academy of Fine Art in Bulgaria, where she earned both her bachelors and masters degrees. She spent six years painting and exhibiting her work in Japan before moving to the U.S. Silvia describes her style as very free and bold. She makes her paintings come alive by using contrast and unusual color palettes. Silvia’s home studio, which she designed herself, is bright, contemporary and minimalist.

“As an artist I enjoy the struggle as much as the end product.” Kent Youngstrom is an artist with a beautifully varied background from interior design to graphics. His art is a journey combining a touch of faith, sentimental imagery and, every once and a while, a laugh, so that the viewer can experience the same emotional passage.

JEANETTE VERTENTES

Jeanette Vertentes is a contemporary painter known for her large-scale colorful paintings. Living in North Stonington, CT, close to the sea, where she is surrounded by her dogs and gardens, her vivid creations pay homage to the place she calls home.

In each painting you can see Jeanette’s distinctive style and vibrant spirit.

Picturesque landscapes, beautiful seascapes, floral still lives, animals and farm fields are all brought to life with contrasting and harmonious colors, movement and bold compositions.

Today you will find Jeanette either painting in her studio or at the country’s finest art shows throughout the spring and summer, teaching throughout the winter and working on numerous commissions for a worldwide audience.

LAURA HORN

Laura Horn is an Australian mixed me dia artist inspired by the imperfect and ever-changing beauty of nature. Part play and part meditation, her process begins with washes of watercolour, or acrylic and ink. Shapes, patterns and botanical motifs are then added using pens, pencils and pastels. Laura also helps others to connect with their creativity through her online classes, workshops and weekly podcast.

Artist and muralist Julia Purinton divides her time between urban Washington, DC and a small rural village in Vermont. Both places provide plenty of material for her evocative landscapes and cityscapes. Working in oils, acrylics, venetian plaster and glaze, Julia’s artwork has the luminous glow and vintage romance of images by artists who influence her: William Turner, John Singer Sargent and the Brandywine River School painters. Many layers of glaze create the atmospheric moods of her landscapes. Her work is found in galleries in New England.

LAURA MARSHALL

Between her rural Michigan roots and a childhood filled with cross-country camping trips, Laura is at home in nature. Though her primary medium is photography, Laura has also discovered a love for watercolors and gouache, giving her another way to express the beauty she sees in the world around her. Currently living and working in Vermont, Laura continues to paint, take pictures, and enjoy long walks in the woods with her husband and dog.
