This project is supported by Lennox Industries who will donate up to 100 furnaces, local participating dealers, who will supply the materials needed to install the furnace and their employees who are donating their time and labor. America’s National Night Out is a program designed to draw our communities together to form an alliance against crime. Dorie Miller Post No. 546 in Racine recently hosted a “Night Out” and 15 young citizens were sworn in as Junior Deputies by the Racine Police Department. Over 120 children attended along with their parents.
All were provided with tips on crime prevention and safety. Legionnaires and Police officers stressed the importance of good citizenship. As a continuing program in service to the community, Post No. 546 will sponsor another community event on Saturday, August 16th and another great turn-out is expected.
