Bulletproof Kid The world we live in has become a dangerous one. In 2013 there were 29 school shootings and within the first two weeks of 2014 there were 14 school shootings. 26 killed in grade school massacre Every 40 seconds a child becomes missing or is abducted in the US. The desire to protect kids not only
emotionally and mentally but also physically is a reaction to our broken world .
Society desires protection and stability. There is a need for balance between a life of technology and the desire to experience the world in a physical sense. A study at the Mayo Clinic reveals that 他 of parents have a fear of their child being abducted and for 1/3 of parents, this is a constant worry.
Schools are implementing a new lockdown procedure called A.L.I.C.E. which stands for:
Alert.Lockdown.Inform.Counter.Evacuate. Prepare to go on the offensive and make distractions for the intruder. If able to evacuate, children meet at rally points such as the firehouse, police station, etc.
The Plan: To become a protective tool to assist with A.L.I.C.E. by being a uniform program in schools.
The solution is twofold:
A garment to prevent fatal gun wounds to kids and an accessory to assist in the recovery and rescue of an abducted child.
Kevlar inserts allow for option on price levels. Buy Back Program to help families. Allows grace towards larger families or kids going through growth spurts. Becomes a second layer of protection to kids... Always expanding with new solutions; including different panels to prevent knife and schrapenel wounds. Promotes the education of child and parents on safety and what to do in abduction or shooting situations.
Taking care of safety
details so childhood can be celebrated and kids can explore and develop.
