The Body logo started out as a sketched pictogram of a mannequin and a tree. These two components represent the companies interests in sustainability and eco awareness, paired with their hand made and rustic style.

The design was scanned and traced in Illustrator, simplifying the mannequins profile and the tree root system. All layers were flattened to create one single group of vector shapes. Sizing of the roots was experimented with to achieve a balance of positive and negative space.

The logo type was added using Century Gothic, this typeface was chosen for its elegant and fine weight. The word Body was capitalised to give it a modern, minimalist feel. Finally, the logo colour was chosen (Pantone 180c/u), this dusty, burnt orange ties the brand in with native Australia, whilst contrasting strongly with the black to give a memorable brand identity.
