Pattern CO 102 (116, 130, 142, 156) sts with MC. Join to work in the round, being careful not to twist CO edge. Work the ribbing for 4 (4, 5, 6, 6) cm / 1.5 (1.5, 2, 2.5, 2.5)”: *K1tbl, p1*; rep to eor. K 2 rnds. K for 1 rnd and, at the same time, increase a total of 10 (10, 10, 12, 12) sts: Size XS: K6, m1, *k10, m1*; rep to last 6 sts, k6. Size S: K8, m1, *k11, m1*; rep to last 9 sts, k9. Size M: K6, m1, *k13, m1*; rep to last 7 sts, k7. Size L: K10, m1, *k11, m1*;rep to last 11 sts, k11. Size XL: K6, m1, *k13, m1*; rep to last 7 sts, k7. The work now has 112 (126, 140, 154, 168) sts total. Continue by following the chart. The st pattern reps 8 (9, 10, 11, 12) x per rnd. You may find it helpful to place stitch markers between repeats. Work Chart Rnds 1-35.
After the chart, continue working with MC. K 1 (3, 3, 3, 6) rnds. Start working the decreases: Rnd 1: *K12, k2tog*; rep to eor. [104 (117, 130, 143, 156) sts remain.] Rnd 2 and all even rnds: K all sts. Rnd 3: *K11, k2tog*; rep to eor. [96 (108, 120, 132, 144) sts remain.] Rnd 5: *K10, k2tog*; rep to eor. [88 (99, 110, 121, 132) sts remain.] Rnd 7: *K9, k2tog*; rep to eor. [80 (90, 100, 110, 120) sts remain.] Continue by working the decreases every other rnd as established until 8 (9, 10, 11, 12) sts remain. Cut the yarn and pull the tail through the remaining sts and to inside of the beanie. Weave in the ends and block the beanie.
