At Willamette, our events and celebrations are more than items on a calendar — they’re a way of life. Concerts, plays, art exhibits, readings, lectures and festivals enliven the campus scene, and they’ll add incredible richness to your college experience.

Experience a cultural treasure

Step into the Hallie Ford Museum of Art, one of only two museums located on a college campus in the Pacific Northwest. You’ll find a diverse collection that ranges from ancient Egyptian artifacts and Native American baskets to Corot, Whistler and Pacific Northwest artists. And as an art major, you’ll have the opportunity to stage full-fledged exhibits as part of your senior thesis.

Campus events & traditions

You’ll feel the power of shared purpose at Matriculation, when you and your classmates send floating candles down the Mill Stream to signify the start of your college journey together. And throughout your time here, you’ll enjoy Lū’au, Social Pow Wow, a cappella nights, dance concerts and a host of other celebrations.
