COUNSELOR UPDATES
WILLAMETTE HAS BEEN TEST OPTIONAL SINCE 2017
Shared test scores serve as an additional credential to help us understand the applicant as a whole and cannot negatively impact an applicant’s merit aid. Transcripts, course rigor, essay, activities list, and recommendations are the most important indicators of admissibility and merit awarding.
Students may submit self-reported or unofficial scores to complete their application. When they enroll, we will require submission of official test scores either on the final high school transcript or from the College Board or ACT.
“ONE OF THE BEST PARTS OF MY JOB IS WELCOMING VISITORS TO CAMPUS AND WATCHING THEIR EYES
LIGHT UP AS THEY REALIZE THEY’VE FOUND A COMMUNITY THAT FEELS LIKE HOME. WHEN YOU VISIT, YOU’LL SEE AND FEEL WHY WILLAMETTE’S CLOSE-KNIT COMMUNITY IS SO SPECIAL.”
—SUE CORNER ’90, DEAN OF ADMISSION
