ESTILO 50’S ELEGANCE AND COQUETRY BY LAURA IDROBO

The early postwar years the woman returned home, the house chores and rethink itself. After years of anxiety, worry, hard work and hardships, she was able to live in the comfort of your home, take small tastes and being flirty, here bombombum use. Among the fashionable clothes of the 50s are the tight waist dresses, skirts below the knee, armed bras and high heels. The lakes were schoolboys dressed in stockings and tennis. In these years he was given a lot of importance to accessories like hats, bags, headgear, gloves and pearl necklaces. They were the indispensable complement of all female attire. Also gained ground sophisticated makeup. Women emphasized her eyes wide with well defined black eyeliner eyelashes and red lips. The goal was to be beautiful and sexy, but without losing style or elegance. She wants to be sensual, wants to make clear their curves, but not too provocative. First there is the modesty and good taste, that's the ideal, angelic wife.

YEARS 50-EL CENTURY OF THE GLAMOUR By Valentina GarcĂa. who does not remember remind the sensuality of Marilyn Monroe or Bettie Page? The magnetism of Elizabeth Taylor's eyes? Audrey Hepburn's simple beauty?. These women managed to be important icons of the fashion; the 50s are a decade in which the woman highlights to the maximum her femininity, already be like a perfect mother, student, wife and housewife or like hard-working woman, the maxim is this one: To be IMPECCABLE. The teenagers of the 50s were having income for works of half a time, they turned into an important demography that dominated the popular culture and the fashion. The teen fashion was highly influenced by the popular music, the television, magazines, the literature and the movies, leave me to describe closely this trend.

GOWN The body of the woman never highlights with skirts pipe or with flight, waisted blouses, dresses, belts, heels, closed shoes to give sometimes informality to the pomp, jackets, hats, purses, broad ribbons and more complements.. The waist always comes very marked generally with a narrow belt or designs stuck to the body, also the neckline moderated in the legs and in the area of the bosoms was having a tendency to giving her voluptuousness, this way to achieve a waist masslender.

The woman wants to return to be sensual, wants to leave in manifest her curves, but without being very provocative. As for the averages of suspender-belt the girls pin up of the 40s and 50s were suggesting them, or directly they were showing them, across her dresses clothes in positions, attitudes and with provocative gestures.

MAKEUP 1. In the eyes they used luminous shades in brith colors, fundamentally blue and green colors. A half banana is realized in the fold of the eyelid and the arch is illuminated supraciliar. The key is the eyeliner: it is planned in the whole line of the top eyelashes and gets longer ending it in beak. As curiosity, some women were combining the shade of eyes with the color of the purse that they were taking this day. 2. The eyelashes make up with mask and, to being possible, there are in use false eyelashes (especially to emphasize the exterior foreign end of the eye and to tear it more).

3. The eyebrows take more grosses to themselves and make up giving them form of wings doves or gull, with the top marked beak peak. 4. The lips make up with intense colors, being the most popular the red one, also the orange ones were in use. The trend is to separate lightly the form of heart of the lip.

The 50s are known for being the time of the rebellion, the men wanted to give a very masculine appearance without losing the sex appeal and the aesthetic that was what was attractive to the opposite sex, wearing leather jackets in colors black and coffee gave his appearance a touch of rebellion, also the use of jeans with high boots, and shoes material, which were reached to observe slightly, white socks, for torso white tees or stamped complemented wearing clothes that most young people of that time, besides being very tight to show off their muscles, thanks to the influence of rock and roll icons Elvis Presley and others who influenced the youth.

In appearance the men are very concerned about to how looked her hair, the trend was to wear short hair with which you could see his ears but with a pronounced pompadour which kept combing and arranging during the day, the youth of the time maintained their cleanshaven, mustache or beard is not used, but if allowed to grow his sideburns, which combined well with the appearance of their hair and gave a harmonic sense of appearance, in terms of accessories were little used, instead used much put a cigarette in the ear to be a little more adult, it should be noted that at this time also increased cigarette smoking and alcohol use in adolescents, because women liked men of his age that they look a little more mature without losing its youthful and rebellious style.

The wonderful 60´s By Betty Molineros.

The fashion trend in the 60s was marked by student riots giving way to the coming of marijuana and "hippies" who believed that if young people show a little more of skin could make a difference between the earlier times. In the early sixties the fashion has not suffered many changes among women still wore skirts as the great marylin icon monroe 50s to middle 60s came the famous short skirt by Courreges and along with Mary Quant inventors of this, in spite of its short size that did not allow the underwear to look and gave mobility for women.

Day dresses

They began to change after the 50s were more adjusted highlighting the female figure, delicate textures of different fabrics, these dresses came just up his knee playing with accessories: such as belts, bracelets, earrings, necklaces , tiaras, high heels and bright colors. and how young they wanted to express their emotionality through her body also came the shorts called "hot pants" were quite short legs showing all with quite colorful as flowers, polka dots etc .. then came broadband jeans boot quite funny because they were tight from the waist to the knee were already quite loose here taking the form of a bell that was used for women and men, or accompanied with leather sandals or platform shoes. In the decade of the 60 half of this came the "hippie" youth fashion here used clothing as pants ripped jeans, stained t-shirts, these hippies did not care about fashion were "peace and love", nor pretended to mini skirts, shorts, and much less with the coloful of those fabrics. Also under this style and this time, its characteristic symbol of peace and love they had in shirts, headbands for women hair accessories and more. Hairstyles for womann was as smooth hair down, used the bend stretched for long straight hair, for short hair woman that looked wavy flawless women. for the beach they used older woman triquini characteristic and the youngest two swimsuits bikinis very colorful pieces.

60’s was a great age in the recent human history. It was the years of rock and roll, Elvis Presley, hippies and so on.

The clothes (fashion) was the best!. Bright colors tiedye shirts and long hair in the case of men’s fashion. They wore wide pants boot (like a bell) but fit around the thigh, glases, hats, afro hair and stuff like that.

Women wore short skirts, showing her legs like never before. They wore “Little nothing” dresser (called so for its simplicity), rounded hat, and low shoes.

The 60's

looks

By Yenny L. Bejarano

During the sixties, the economic boom that began during the previous decade continued for the most part. With more people benefiting from prosperity and the culture moving further away from the idea of postwar rationing, the way a lot of people interacted with fashion began to change. Less people needed to, or even wanted to make their own clothes and the emergence of even more commercial fashion opportunities meant that using clothing as a status symbol was no longer confined to the wealthiest. Fashion could now be used to distinguish between levels within the middle class and even within the poorest classes in the United States. Culture and society also became more casual. Much of the clothing could fit the line between formal and casual and clothing could be mixed and matched to make many different outfits for different occasions. Many more outfits began to feature slimmer and more elegant lines with a line and shift dresses being amongst the most popular fashions for women and tapered dress shirts being popular with menbeing popular with men.

The skirts rose higher for women, hair length grew longer on men, and two piece bikinis became common swimming attire. If fashion of the 1950s first inspired individual identity through style, the sixties fully embraced and encouraged it. The makeup was strong with vivid colors like blue and pink. As hairstyles, in the 60's silhouettes change with great force: stiff cuts in men are released and opted for a more long. Early in the decade, due to the two world wars, the military-style shape imposed haircut the "American way" or "soldier style." This was questioned and controversial through the long hair of the hippie movement and male mane, reflecting and formally unveiling the "anti - war" thinking. In Spain and Latin America these changes more slowly observed, men wore short hair and changes in the fashion of the '50s to the' 60s did not begin to become evident until 1962. Regarding the feminine way, in the early 60s short hair was used with great volume and collected become the way set out in the magazines: You is hairstyles that resort to the use of the wig to boost volume. As it is collected using hair accessories to power, flowers, bows, ribbons to collect hair, headbands, and brooches, and jewels to decorate headdresses, which could be of cloth, with flowers, stones or feathers.

Fashion is becoming bold!!

Daniela Afanador Torres – 60´s era  The 60's era, also known as the "prodigious decade," marked an important milestone in the fashion industry, in society and in politics. During this decade, several remarkable changes occurred in society and politics as a response to important events such as the beginning of women’s rights revolution and the fight angst racism. It was also a time when rock

and

roll

became

popular

and

the

appearance of gang members had a great impact  This was the time when the hippies emerged strongly and became a very important element of the 60s fashion. Bell bottom jeans, tie dye shirts and shirts with controversial messages on them appeared. The purpose of fashion during this time was to conceal women’s curves and their sex appeal. Instead, fashion intended to portray women as slim nymphs who displayed their childish side through seduction

games. Concerning hairstyles, they wore short hair with lots of volume. Hair buns imitated the ones worn by models on magazines. This hairstyle implied the use of a wig to enhance volume. Finally, this beautiful decade remains in history as the age of glamour.

60s. Wonderful and revolutionary fashion. By. Wilmer Camacho.

In matters of fashion nothing is said. However, for each decade of history, proposed that rarely are innovative for lovers of changes . While it is true that in the 60s was presented the flowering of youth movements, by the emancipation product derived from World War II and the Cold War, were the musical currents that most influenced the fashion in this season. The appearance of bands like the Beatles and the great deeds of Elvis Presley on stage, provoked more and more young men follow a stream into fashion is concerned. Before this boom and the hippie era that shocked the world in those years, who paid attention to the variety of designs and proposals fashion were the women, while men, retained the classic outfits, almost monochromatic.

Young men of the 60s, were characterized by the freedom to the dress, while retaining those classic features inherited from the 40s and 50s. That's why we were very common combinations of pants with cowboy boots of wool or shirts with light colors. The boldest mens dared to wear pants in light colors or tables by shifting the stripes imposed formal dresses. The Fans of rock and speed motorcycles, used to wear jackets, leather pants and blue jeans created by Levi Strauss garment , feature of youth rebellion, that by this time, was imposed in the global market. The blue jean belonged to the middle and working classes, but was popularized by stars of the show as Elvis Presley , Marlon Brando, and Marilyn Monroe. During this season, the cowboy boots would disappear and the boot size and the skinny jeans were imposed.

The Casual and youthful locker room was easily complemented with canvas shoes or leather , the cotton shirts were always present, as now in our time, and with abundant scalps that became in symbol of the youth's revolution.

In the early 60s, designers like Yves Saint Laurent, Valentino Garavani, Giorgio Armani, Laura Biagotti, Yuri Gagarin among others, marked the trends, however, and with the reflection of freedom and rebelliousness of youth, the designers , seamstresses of neighborhood were the main beneficiaries of this trend, because frequently, the models were copied and re-designed by the user.

FASHION MEN 70´S For years, men's fashion has changed very little. Hair styles change more than clothes, and most of the differences you find are subtle. Fashions in the latter part of the 70s were often striking. Most popular styles of the 70 never regained their popularity, but are still a part of the story of the decade. Men's fashion of 60s and 70s style varied widely going to set free and wild aspect of the disc.

Many men dressed like the stars they saw in the movies and wearing white disco suits modeled after to John Travolta wore in Saturday Night Fever, colored shirts, and even platform shoes. Polyester costumes and came in a variety of colors such as baby blue green and brown. Men wore these suits with open collar shirts in contrasting colors. These shirts were typically form fitting, and were used to balance the level of the leg or flared pants styles.

Men wore jackets and pants plaid checkered. Solid color shirts paired well with pictures and add a contrast to the pattern. Men suits usually come in bold colors and is usually combined with patterned shirts.

FASHION MEN 70´S Mix and match patterns, fabrics and colors are considered stylish for the time. Men wore these shirts under tuxedos and suits, and they looked so elegant at the time.

1970

This decade brought many new styles, hippie age and disco fever included many different materials like velvet, polyester and many elastic and shiny fabrics. It was also the decade in which the unisex clothes were introduced. Casual clothes, platform shoes and tight jeans are striking product of the 70s. As for formal wear both men and women continued the trend of skinny jeans and flared trousers. Hippies were decorated with embroidery and discolored to change color. At the same time, faded jeans, We also find the Mini icon on this time, at the same time the 70 offered other styles like medium and long skirts were also popular. The medium and long dresses also gained a following. While medium skirts reaching to the knees and ankles, long dresses came to the floor. WONDERFUL YEARS IN THE VALLEY SULTANA By Cristian L M.

From the city of salsa, where beautiful women abound. Here I am remembering the 80 In my tour of the beautiful city of Cali in Colombia as I see has transformed the city into a metropolis of the south of the country, city sauce that has become as heaven.

Cali is cali else is Knoll, They reached the 80s! And with them the volumes, colors, and stamped geometric forms and exuberance key to wear the latest pieces. Looks very structured and bold! The character of the decade was Madonna, who set the trend not only in music but also in fashion clothing.

Fashion and important events in the 80 By. Juan Antonio García.

People in the 80's preferred clothing that was wider or bigger somehow, hence the popularity of shoulder pads. The width style, widely used by men, tried to capture the attention of women, The effect is supposed to be luxurious and decadent. Clearly the start of this decade is marked by rising tensions in the Cold War between united States and the Soviet Union The nuclear threat is more powerful than ever, as far as the mid rapprochement between the two blocks, which is favored mainly by the policies known in the West as Glasnost and Perestroika, Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev occurs International terrorism that had been presented in the previous decade and the US escalates attacks on Moammar Gadhafi's Libya in retaliation for terrorist attacks allegedly sponsored by that country. In Latin America, Peru coming from a militarde regime 11 years and returned to democracy as a dictator, faces the Maoist terrorist movement Sendero Luminoso, which began its armed struggle in Ayacucho and slowly was moving into the capital On the economic front, the US president, Ronald Reagan, presents a series of free-market economic policies, popularly known as Reaganomics, which lay the foundations of neoliberal economics in the years ahead. Moreover, the differences in development between the different peoples of the world are evident with famine ravaging several African countries. In Ethiopia the situation is particularly dramatic because of the drought. Another important aspect of this decade were enforced disappearances in Latin America that had begun in the previous decade In 1983 Argentina returned to democracy in an insecure manner, after the previous year was the Falklands War and will result defeated, and Raúl Alfonsín assumed the presidency. In 1985 he remembered sentence in the Trial of the Juntas repressive military dictatorship, Argentina being the first and only Latin American country to do so. On 6 and 7 November 1985 a command of the guerrilla organization April 19 Movement (M-19) assaults with weapons the Palace of Justice in Bogotá. By presidential order to rescue the hostages and takes the military is done with extreme violence.

The eighties years were a golden age considered, since it represented a revolution in many ways, both cultural and social; that affected the lives of many people worldwide. Some examples are fashion dress style, haircuts, video games, inventions that were very advanced for the time, such as VCRs and VHS. However, the aspect that caused more furor was definitely the music of that time, which had very specific characteristics were many styles that emerged at the time, these can be found between rock, pop, pop ballads, punk rock, heavy metal, glam rock and even disco.

Although predominantly used electric guitars, keyboards, synthesizers and virtual new sounds that gave the music a touch quite alternative and futuristic; It was the pop that marked a significant trend and completely dominated the scene. The sense of the music of the 80s in general was marked by the creation of new sounds and experimentation, inciting youth to show themselves, to express yourself freely, uninhibited prejudice or to be as they would be within a colorful atmosphere, and fun too Sandra Sanchez.

he fashion of the nineties is marked by musical styles, the nineties are the days of grunge and can see looks unkempt and disheveled hair, casual clothes are also different combinations, put jackets with ripped jeans was a style in this decade.

The bomber jackets are using plain or printed, you also find the floral prints, very fashionable this season. Lately we are seeing this relaxed and simple style reappears in our time, it is good to remember and relive this decade that left much to the history of mankind.

The relaxed waist wasted trousers, high pants with their shirts into a simple style that closely looked at the time. This type of outfit you look much the stars of the series Friends which was a very successful series in the decade of the 90s and the young were dressed as they saw their favorite characters.

During the passing of the decades have seen changes in fashion, especially highlighting forms of dress, designs, looks, hairstyles, always is to innovate and to this day continues that trend trying to save what ever our ancestors used to dress fashionably.

Oscar Acevedo

I At this time we can say it was the most developed of all, were the internet was a tool created for the population, the beeper was also invented, DVD’s, mobile phone (Star Tac Motorola), Dolly the first cloned sheep was produced, this marks a cultural revolution, also the death of the great singer Selena. The birth of new music was produced by singer Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, among others, Madonna launches controversial Erotica album and one of her best known songs, Michael Jackson was declared King of Pop. People began to express their individuality using piercings, tattoos, hair dye and more trends. The fashion included very young sexy short dresses with designs, short skirts, denim jackets, satin tops which were very provocative. ANNIE MELISSA SOSA MEJIA

Besides short hair, also ties were used with animal figures or cartoons, this style of ties is usually used in the 90’s, although it was not used by executives of high prestige.

Fashion of the nineties is characterized by classic styles, the nineties were the days of wearing short hair, formal wear with soft colors, white shirts with dark suits were used too.
