STAY FINE DIVISION 9!

DCON THEME!

This years DCON Theme is SERVICE IN PARADISE! Service in paradise garners many meanings: The paradise feeling that arises everytime you participate in your favorite service event. Or the actual place in which you go to do service can be your own little paradise. This year’s DCON is what you make it!

DISTRICT PROJECT!

This year the PNW District has chosen the ‘Thirst Project’ as it’s new district project. Our involvement in the project targets a specific country known as Swaziland. Swaziland has the highest population density of HIV/AIDS continue-->

DISTRICT PROJECT!

To make matters worse, the people of Swaziland don’t have access to clean water which may actually be causing them to die faster rather than AIDS/HIV itself. But thanks to our partnership with the Thirst Project there are actions we can take. continue-->

DISTRICT PROJECT!

I encourage each and every member, club, and division as a whole to contribute and spread awareness to our cause. You can do this in many ways, by personally donating to the Thirst Project funds, or by raising funds in your club for the cause continue-->

DISTRICT PROJECT!

All the money we raise will be tracked and monitored for the viewing of our members. That is right, we’ll be able to track and see our efforts create a difference. For more information visit the PNWKeyClub.org page and go to the tab labled ‘thirst’

PNWOF The PNWOF application provides an exclusive opportunity for individual dues-paid members and chartered clubs in the Pacific Northwest to apply for grants. These grants will cover up to two-thirds of the costs of service projects that will benefit Thirst Project or the applicant’s community at large. Your club’s project can be entirely original or done before, as long as there is a need for funding in order for it to be completed.

The grants range in value from $100 to $1,000, so if your club needs a financial boost to finally complete that big project, then the PNWOF is for you. Grant winners will be notified in November, so take the timeline into account when considering what projects to submit in your application. Winners will also be announced at District Convention 2019. The application will only remain open until October 31st, so make sure you apply before the deadline!

School Year Projects Wally’s Woodshop! (Open to everyone) -This service project will be continuing all throughout summer every Wednesday unless told otherwise, for times contact either myself or Omak’s President or visit our Facebook page.
