INTRODUCTION - STATEMENT For me, expressing my feeling is very difficult. That is why I like art. It is a way in which I can show what I feel, what I think, without having to speak. It is a therapeutic way in which I deal with my problems. I’m no sure of what I will do in the future, but I’m sure that art will be involved in one way or another. My theme started as death and my question for it was: what is left in the world after death? So I realized that if someone in my family dies what was left with me was my memories of that person. However, I would lose that memories over time, so there were kept for me in video and pictures. That is how I started working with video tapes, like in images 1 and 2. Then I started exploring with mirrors because I liked the idea of something that was there but at the same time wasn’t, it was kind of an illusion Maria Teresa Incapie. I always knew that as time passes not only memories fade, but also pictures and videos, and I wanted to portray this. I wanted to show the effect of time, but instead of making pictures fade I wanted them “stronger”. So I made some stencils of pictures of family members and placed them on paper, then I left them under the sun o be burned. Since it is important foo meet around board games, as a memory of those sweet moments I decided to use chocolate to create the game tokens So I used chocolate in my last piece. I was inspired by the work of Robert Smithson
