AN ELEVATED PERSPECTIVE You’re driving up the highway that leads from the flats to the mountains, from crowds to solitude, from stress to release. And as the elevation increases, you can almost feel your blood pressure dropping, and you think to yourself for the umpteenth time that one of these days, this is going to be a one-way trip. There’s something about mountains. Sure, they’re nice to look at from a purely aesthetic perspective, but the cool thing is the feeling you get in the pit of your stomach when you catch your first glimpse of snow-covered peaks after being away from them for awhile. It’s partly the anticipation of outdoor adventures with friends who are fortunate enough to live here, and partly the fact that, regardless of age, we are still blown away by the beauty of an alpine valley and the sheer majesty of several thousand vertical feet of rock. This is where Cloudveil was born, and it’s where we design and test our gear today.
