Welcome from our CEO
Welcome to our Winter 2014 Edition of Lifestyle Magazine. It gives me great pleasure to share news stories, keep you notified on the range of Club offerings and provide you with updates on the continued success of your `Community Club’.
In conjunction with the Board of Management, headed by your Chairman John Papazisis, the ongoing process of restructuring the business model has succeeded in positioning the Club as more relevant to the local community. We are all aware that as communities change, so must the Club that serves the community. Over the last 12 months, Yarraville Club as part of our Community Charter, has given back over $150,000 in cash and 'in kind' donations to local sporting and community organisations. This is something that as a Club, we are extremely proud of and will continue to undertake ensuring the Yarraville Club remains a significant supporter of the local & inner west communities. If you are part of a community organisation that is interested in partnering with Yarraville Club, please email the Club on info@yarravilleclub.com.au and we will review your request in line with our community charter. Our partnership with the Pekish team has seen a vastly improved food offering in our bistro and functions. Currently, we are serving in excess of 2500 meals per week in the bistro and I am constantly receiving positive testimonials that refer to the great food & service experiences. `Yarraville Laughs’ and `Yarraville Live’ continues to deliver world class musicians and comedians to the `stage’ at Yarraville Club and along with our improved food & service offering, has been instrumental in putting the Yarraville Club back on the map in the Melbourne entertainment and Club scene. We are now the envy of most venues around Melbourne. We are currently working on some exciting new initiatives in the Yarraville Live & Laughs space and I look forward to being able to share these with you in the not to distant future. We have just hosted the Australian Billiards & Snooker Championships and the Lance Pannell Classic Snooker Championship. I personally extend my congratulations to all winners and participants, with a special mention to Yarraville Club Board Member, Aaron Mahoney who recently won the title

of Victorian Snooker Champion. Snooker and Billiards has always been and will remain an integral part of the Yarraville Club. Combined, all of these Club offerings currently position our venue as the envy of many of our competitors. We encourage past members who have not renewed to do so, and invite newcomers to join and recoup the many benefits of membership. You can join or renew your membership on line at www.yarravilleclub.com.au or pop into the Club and renew with one of our staff. Moving forward we are continuing to introduce a number of exciting new initiatives and activities to Yarraville Club members and local residents. In August, we will be introducing FREE Zumba classes. We are also increasing the level of family activities, and are providing quality Club events and services throughout the Spring Racing Carnival. I look forward to seeing you soon at the Club and thank you for being part of our great Community Club and look forward to sharing the ongoing successes of the Club with you all. Yours sincerely.
