Luke 2:7: – Our scripture verse verifies the human birth of our Savior. – Christ’s birth is the fulfillment of God’s promise to send a Savior (Isaiah 7:14). – Christ’s birth fulfills all aspects of Isaiah’s prophecy.

Luke 2:8-15 – The Angelic announcement to the shepherds abiding in the field tending their flock. – The angels calms the fears of the shepherds – Good news was brought to them; Christ the Savior is born.

– For unto you in the city of David a Savior, which Christ the Lord (v.11). – The angels told the shepherds what baby Jesus was wearing (swaddling clothes) and where to find Him-in a manger (v.7). – He is worthy to be praised. 4
Christ Is Christmas And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying; “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will towards men.”

Christ Is Christmas Verse 15 shows the action of the shepherds who were abiding in the field tending their flock. They went to see the baby Jesus. Even the wise men went to see and worshipped the baby Jesus (Matthew 2:1-12).

Christ Is Christmas The shepherds came to see and worship the baby Jesus. Upon worshiping the Christ child they returned home glorifying and praising God for what they had seen and heard as told to them by the angels (v.16). How far will you travel to worship Christ?

Christ Is Christmas Remember why He came. He came so that you and I may have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). Why? Because Christ is the good shepherd who giveth His life for His sheep/humanity (John 10:11).

Who but God could wrap Himself in humanity and live among us? – Only Christ who is God in the second person – Immanuel-God with us. – John 1:14 supports that Christ was God who became flesh. – It is in Christ that humanity and deity met.

Christ and the last three authenticates Him as the anointed Savior. C is for Christ. He is the Savior of the world. The only Son of God. He is divine and the final revelation of God Himself. 10
Christ Is Christmas H is for the Heavenly Host who song praises unto the new born baby. R is for Christ being the righteous judge who will judge all humanity. R is also for Christ’s resurrection as He is the firstborn from the dead. All who believe died and rose with Christ. 11
Christ Is Christmas I is for Immanuel which is God with us. Christ is the prophesied Messiah. S is for Savior of the world. Christ was slain from the foundation of the world to be the Savior and redeem man from sin. T is for temple as it is the body of Christ and all believers are temples of God (1 Corinthians 3:16). 12
Christ Is Christmas ď Ž M is for Messiah, which means the anointed One who saves and He does. ď Ž A is for atonement, which means to be forgiven of one's sins, or the bringing together of two who have been at odds with one another-God and Humanity. ď Ž S is for salvation, which is to be delivered from something (sin) to something-a life of righteousness.

Christ Is Christmas Without Christ there is no Christmas to celebrate. No salvation-eternal life No hope for the future Christ is our all-in-all Christ is the greatest gift ever given-salvation Honor Him with heartfelt praise and worship.
