Christ, The Author Of Eternal Salvation Hebrews 5:8-9 Though He were a Son, yet learned He obedience by the things which He suffered. And being made perfect, He became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him. Our scripture texts provide us two important points that is essential to all believers and all who desires to walk the Christian journey, and they are: (a) Christ being the incarnated Son of God was obedient to His Father and completed His Father's mission of providing salvation to all who accept Him as Lord and Savior. Christ was born to die for the sins of the world and die He did, but rose Resurrection Sunday morning with all power in His hands. All who accept His atoning work died to sin with Him and rose with Him to a life of righteousness? (b) Obedience is the second point in our scripture texts that highlights the obedience of Christ our Lord and Savior. That said, we too as believers must be obedience to the Lord's commandment and statues. Obedience brings oneness with Christ which is an ingredient to salvation as He is the vine and believers are the branches. All believers must remain in harmony by obeying, submitting to Christ while being totally devoted to Him and His ways. Obedience is important as it leads to salvation because of our faith in Christ and what He did giving all believers a right standing with God the Father. Christ obeyed the Father and believers are to obey as well.
