Godly Mothers Are Angels Among Us Hebrews 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers; for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Hebrews 13:1 encourages believers to continue in brotherly love as this type of love that stems from our relationship with God the Father and the Son, Jesus Christ as it is common to greet one another as sister and brother in Chris. Several questions come to mind, and they are, when there is a stranger in our mist whom we do not know to be a fellow believer or are what man considers as the derelicts of our society how do we as Christians greet or treat this person? Is the person greeted in brotherly love as our scripture verse reminds us that we should as it we may be entertaining an angels unaware? Are we as Christians practicing cultural Christianity? If the person has a physical need do we address that need without judging? Are we as Christians following in Christi’s footsteps in addressing a physical need in order to meet their spiritual need? Christians are taught to treat everyone with love and respect because Christ loved and died for all humanity even while we were enemies of God. This is because Christians are simply saved sinners saved by God’s grace and all who have accepted Jesus Christ in faith as your personal Savior is being kept by the power of the Holy Spirit. Another school of thought on entertaining strangers among us that sometimes God will send society’s less fortunate to us to see where we as Christians are in our Christian growth and walk with Him. Finally, God judges the heart of man not his/her appearances because we all may be different on the outside but the same on the inside. Be mindful of the angels among us.
