Netflix documentary, What the Health, has everyone going vegan—again. Here at Legendary Life Podcast we care about our listeners and making sure they’re not buying into false claims and hype from trending documentaries. That’s why we fact-checked this documentary for you. So you’ll know what the evidence is for the extraordinary claims that this film makes about health and vegan diets. In this article I’ll debunk five things that What the Health got wrong—and what it got right. Unlike other reviews have claimed, the documentary isn’t all bad. In fact, there’s plenty of evidence that eating plant-based foods like fruits and vegetables can help prevent diseases like heart disease, cancer and diabetes. And most of us would be better off focusing on getting a wider variety of plants into our diet while cutting down on processed meats.
