Certified Compostable means these pots will compost in under 12 weeks once thrown into your food waste recycling! Cork production is generally considered sustainable because the cork tree is not cut down to obtain cork; only the bark is stripped to harvest the cork. The tree continues to live and grow. The trees live for about 300 years! The sustainability of production and the easy recycling of cork products and by-products are two of its most distinctive aspects. Cork oak forests also prevent desertification and are a particular habitat in the Iberian Peninsula and the refuge of various endangered species.
There are about 2,200,000 hectares of cork forest worldwide; 34% in Portugal and 27% in Spain. Once the trees are about 25 years old the cork is traditionally stripped from the trunks every nine years, with the first two harvests generally producing lower quality cork (which is used for industrial applications eg flooring, shoes and perhaps promotional products!).

We can also supply many of these products in ‘Eco Plastic’ The material is a compound of polypropylene copolymer and biobased high-density polyethylene. For this material, we use a percentage of 34% (for the ECO 94, a percentage of 94%) bio-based carbon. Biodegradable plastics can be produced from a variety of plant-based raw materials. In addition to cellulose and sugar, it is primarily starch that plays a key role. The most important providers of starch are corn, wheat and potatoes. Thus, this material is also biodegradable.

Probably the single most popular Technology concept is what has been christened ‘ true wireless stereo or TWS‘ or more simply the ability to pair two Bluetooth audio devices to each other to create wireless stereo for listening to music. Most popular items at the show with this feature were for sure micro BT earbuds and travel speakers. Such products simply turn on, one device takes the lead and pairs to the other and then your phone / tablet / laptop and you can enjoy great stereo sound!

Usb C hubs and connectivity solutions were probably one of the surprise products areas as hubs had slowed down in terms of interest a few years ago. However the rapid introduction now of USB type C connectivity into many new laptops is driving a new interest in good quality hubs that can be fed from a USB C port and then power /sync data with 3-4 older style USB A accessories (such as flash drives / mice etc), HDMI and or other ports built into a handy travel gadget often with great branding area.
