20 YE A R S AGO… …TRANQUILLO started out as a small store selling vintage clothing to the bohemian residents of a vibrant neighbourhood called Neustadt in the heart of Dresden. Travelling through India and Nepal we found our business partners amongst the people who we met on the way and who before long became our friends. A lot has happened since then: We started creating our own collections, which by now we are distributing all over Europe. We decided to go environmentally sustainable, a step that we’ve never regretted. During the last two years a well-known crisis shook us, like many others in the fashion business. We used it as a chance to rethink. Letting go of anything unnecessary, we came up with a collection that really gets to the core of what TRANQUILLO Fashion means to us: colourful womenswear with heart and soul. A B O U T OUR FA B R I C S Sustainable materials are the key to our collections. We select our fibres carefully – each season we look into alternatives and new materials to make our fabrics more sustainable and to be able to offer you new textile qualities. Most of our fabrics are GOTS certified. That assures fairness and transparency throughout the whole production process and the use of approved organic fibres. ORGANIC T W I L L 100 % organic cotton Our winter jackets are made from organic cotton in a twill weave. Characteristics of this fabric are its durability and its high wearing comfort. This season our twill is available in the colours mustard and night.
RECYCLED BRUSHED AND SHERPA FLEECE 100 % recycled polyester Fleece provides a wool-like warmth and breathability. Our brushed and sherpa fleece is made from 100 % certified recycled material. We use it for lining our twill jackets, to add more wearing comfort and resistibility. The best insulating layer – all winter long!
RECYCLED K N I T TE D F L E E CE 100 % recycled polyester Our knitted fleece is 100 % recycled! Don’t miss out on our styles in mustard and smoke green, with a melange effect. This fabric is brushed on the inside and brings together the functional character of fleece and the delicate appearance of knits. It is light-weight and breathable, yet soft and lofty on the inside, keeping you warm and snug.
NICKI VELO UR 80 % organic cotton, 20 % recycled polyester, GOTS Our favourite softie – the velvety, seductive blend of organic cotton and recycled polyester, GOTS certified, is back in two new colours: navy and smoke green. Enjoy a variety of styles to either get comfy or to dress up in.
ECOVERO ™ V I S COS E T WI L L 100 % EcoVero™ Viscose by Lenzing™ Lenzing™ sets new standards in terms of sustainable viscose. EcoVero™ viscose fibres are made from sustainable wood and pulp, from certified and controlled forests. EcoVero™ viscose is airy and breathing, with a floating drape. Our EcoVero™ viscose fabric shimmers with a twill structure. This winter it comes in two new prints.
ORGANIC STRE TCH CORDUROY 97 % organic cotton, 3 % elastane, GOTS A classic fabric for trousers and skirts – due to its durability and velvety softness. We blended classic organic cord with elastane for a soft wear and great fit, of course GOTS certified. Discover our corduroy’s seductive suppleness in two new colours: smoke green and ginger.
ECO STRETCH DE N I M 98 % organic cotton, 2 % elastane, GOTS We want to make a difference with our denim! It is made out of 98 % organic cotton. The GOTS certificate ensures there are no toxic chemicals used during the dyeing and washing process. A tiny portion of elastane makes our denims figure hugging and comfy.

The dark dye comes without any washing effects which are often a result of using toxic chemicals and water wasting methods in the production. STRETCH J E RS E Y 95 % organic cotton, 5 % elastane, GOTS The cotton we use in our jersey styles is organic. It is grown without toxic pesticides, herbicides, synthetic fertilizers or genetically modified seeds, resulting in a much lower impact on the environment and a high skin tolerability. ORGANIC COT TON K N I T 100 % organic cotton, GOTS Time to dress up with our elegant cardigans and snug sweaters! Our knitwear is made from finest organic cotton, providing a high wearing comfort and a soft hand feel.
WOOL 100 % wool Our wool accessories are hand-knitted in the Nepalese mountains. The raw material is derived from controlled organic sheep farming. This guarantees that no cruel treatments like mulesing are used. Wool is a highly functional fabric from nature: it keeps you warm and it has the ability to absorb a lot of water while keeping a dry hand feel.
RECYCLED POLYE STE R, PU- COATE D 100 % recycled polyester, PU-coated Our rain apparel is made from certified recycled polyester, with a polyurethane coating. That makes the material durable and wind and rain resistant.
TENCEL™ M ODA L 95 % modal (TENCEL™), 5 % Elastane Soft and smooth, with a high breathability and flexibility, our new favourite fabric from the house of Lenzing™ provides your skin with the tenderness it deserves. The raw material cellulose is derived from regrowing beech wood, using only non-toxic and biodegradable chemicals throughout the production. 95–99 % of the solvents go back into the process. For its sustainable TENCEL™ fibre Lenzing™ was awarded with the “European Award for the Environment” by the European Union.
