spring/summer 2025
This collection is built around stories which embrace our habitat. It celebrates the flora and fauna which are so integral to the slowing of climate change.
We are delighted to say that 75% of this collection is made using organic cotton and is certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard or GOTS. The balance is made with FSC viscose which is sourced from sustainably managed forests.
We have been audited by GOTS for ethical production, organic and sustainable cotton fabrics and a duty of care to all employees including workers rights.
To carry GOTS accreditation, every part of the supply chain will have been audited to meet their stringent standards, from the supply and dying of the cotton through to the last point of production. This gives the wearer absolute assurance that there is no part of the supply chain which does not meet this criteria.

About the prints
Brighton Beach Collection
This collection draws on Pretty Vacant’s much loved home town of Brighton. Taking the iconic seafront and pier as key themes, these uplifting seaside prints will keep you smiling all summer long.
Brighton Beach - Bringing nostalgic summer seaside vibes showcasing Brighton Seafront, early in the morning waiting to welcome day trippers to the beach.
Sunset Sailing - This colourful stripe pattern uses a naive style to evoke carefree summer evenings, looking out to the boats sailing against the sunset.
Seagulls - A classic symbol of Brighton, stylised seagulls flying against a summer sky with pink clouds, predicting a sunny day tomorrow
Hove Pier Stripe - Mod inspired retro Mid Century Modern geo pattern. Based on the geometric shapes of Brighton West Pier with Art Deco vibes.
Bauhaus Pier - Bauhaus inspired retro Mid Century Modern pattern. Based on the geometric shapes of Brighton West Pier and bubble light flares of 1970s analogue photos.
Vintage Summer Picnic Collection
Take a stroll through the apple orchard and lay down your picnic blanket to eat freshly picked strawberries and drink homemade lemonade. This is a nostalgic collection to evoke feelings of relaxing sunny days, fresh air and simple pleasures.
Apple Blossom - Abundant fresh apples ready to pick off the tree and cheery apple blossoms make up this gorgeous summer print.
Apple Orchard - Walk across the stepping stones to head through the garden gate and to enjoy the dappled shade under the fruit trees in the orchard.
Lemonade - This bold happy print will bring back childhood memories of squeezing juicy fresh lemons to make homemade lemonade to enjoy on a summer’s day.
Picnic Blanket - Bringing together motifs from across the collection this summery pattern takes reference from vintage 1950s picnic blankets and feed sack prints.
Strawberry Picking - Sweet and juicy fresh strawberries, ripened in the sunshine are waiting to be picked by hungry fingers and eaten before they even hit the punnet.
Bee Happy Collection
The environment is a key issue across the world and we need to work together to support and protect important habitats. 18 species of bees are classified as endangered and 9 as critically endangered globally. This collection showcases garden flowers that we can plant to support our declining bee and pollinating insect populations - together we can make a difference even from our own gardens.
Allium and Clematis - In May and June these two flowers bloom together beautifully and are magnets for bees and butterflies as well as other pollinating insects.
Buddleia - Otherwise known as the Butterfly Bush this flowering shrub is the number one plant for attracting butterflies to your garden and has a beautiful sweet scent.
Wildflower Meadow - Did you know that British wildflower meadows have reduced by 97% since the 1930s? Wildflower meadows are a hugely important habitat for biodiversity, particularly for our declining bee population. This print highlights poppies, cornflowers and daisies which are all British native flowers seen in meadows across the country.
Phlox - This simple hand drawn print is based on Phlox David, which releases a gorgeous fragrance that attracts the most beautiful moths and butterflies to your garden in Summer.
Buttercups - This sweet vintage inspired pattern is based on buttercups, reminding us that the flowers in our lawns can be viewed as beautiful and beneficial. Did you know that the glossy petals of buttercup flowers warm the centre of the flower and reflect ultraviolet light to attract pollinating insects?
