S.U.P.E.R. Program Begins for Readers of ALL ages
On May 1, we started our SUPER program for reading patrons. The Summer Unlimited Punch -card Event of Reading runs through August 31. The format is the same as our W.A.R.M. (Winter Adult Reading Months) reading program we held January-March. Patrons pick up a punch card at the front desk and for every book read receive a punch on their card. Once the card is filled, turn it in at the front desk for a chance to win a prize. Patrons may then get a new card and keep reading. The more cards filled out, the higher chance of winning a prize. All patrons ages 0-110 are eligible for punch cards. Our goals are to inhibit the dreaded “summer slide” for students, to help patrons find great books to read, and to increase circulation for the library! Our first drawing will be June 1, with a drawing to follow on July 31, so get reading!
No tickets required. Bring chairs/blankets to sit on! Concessions are available.
Library Closed! July 3-4 The 4th of July Items may be returned in drop box on north side of the library

This returning event takes place Friday, June 12 at dusk (around 9:00pm). The Platte Valley Astronomical Observers will help us search the evening sky for planets, stars and constellations with their large telescopes set up on the north end of the Cozad High School football field. Please feel free to bring your own telescopes, binoculars, or iPad loaded with stargazing apps. Not only can you spend a fun evening out with your family but you can learn about the stars! In case of inclement weather or never-ending cloudiness, please see our Facebook page at Wilson Public Library to be sure the event is still taking place. At this time, if the event needs to be cancelled for weather related-purposed, it will not be rescheduled due to the schedules of the PVAO members.
