COVID-19 Update – June 30, 2020 Recently it has come to our attention that members/residents of Winchester who have used the Club have tested positive for COVID19 this past week. Their use was of the Dining Room on June 11th for dinner and June 24th for lunch, and playing in the Turkey Hunt on June 19th and 20th. We have notified our staff that had contact with these members. All members in question are self-isolating along with their family members at this time. We ask that all members and guests continue to follow the orders and recommendations of public health officials and their medical professionals to ensure that members and guests are conducting themselves as if persons around them have been exposed or may have COVID-19. This includes ensuring you are physically distancing yourself from persons who are not part of your household, wearing masks when entering the Club for any use, regular hand washing/ sanitizing and avoiding physical contacts, in an effort to limit exposure and the spread of COVID-19. Our outside service staff has masks to wear if they can’t maintain the proper physical distance from members. If you have any symptoms of COVID-19, please do not visit the Club including the golf course. We greatly value the ability to remain open for our members, and your cooperation will ensure we can stay open for your use. Pat Finlen General Manager

We are super excited to announce that one of our hard working students competed in the U.S. Kids 2020 NorCal Championships. On Sunday June 28th & Monday June 29th, Winchester’s own, Melia Gustavson was at Micke Grove Golf Links in Lodi CA trying to bring Winchester a Championship. On Monday June 29th your Assistant Golf professional, Matt Johnson, had the privilege of caddying the final 18 holes for Melia. Matt Said, “This will be the 3rd time I get to caddie for her. I enjoy doing this because I see how much time and effort she puts in to her game, coupled by the efforts her parents put in to help her reach her golf goals. So, thank you Mai-Ly Ramirez and Dan Gustavson. Her dad, Dr. Gustavson, will be caddying for her on Sunday for the first round and I get the pleasure of taking on the second and final round with her. Go Melia!” Also, on a bigger note, Melia has been invited to play in the World Teen Championships at Pinehurst on July 23rd-25th. The Schedule consists of a parent/child tournament, skills challenge, three rounds of championship play, and the Closing Ceremony. Following the three-day championship, the Teen Van Horn Cup is contested on Pinehurst No. 2. The Teen Van Horn Cup is a one-day best ball tournament featuring the top players from each age group.
