Good To Know

Guest Speaker Recap! Emergency Services at Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital In case you missed Chief Gow’s presentation on Monday, he shared some important information on how cell-based 911 calls are handled. Due to our proximity to Interstate 80, calls placed to 911 on cell phones while within the Winchester Community will be routed to the California Highway Patrol Dispatch center in Sacramento or possibly San Francisco. Because this may inadvertently delay responder dispatch, Chief Gow provided us with a phone number that will ring directly to the 911 dispatch here locally, even when calling from a cell phone. He encouraged everyone to program the number into their phones and then use for any emergency calls (fire, police, ambulance) when calling from Winchester. For your convenience, we have provided that number below and will be placing it in areas throughout the Club and Course.
