Hampshire Scouts pick up the ‘Skills For Life’ challenge By KEVIN GOVER News Editor SCOUTS in Hampshire say they’re more than ready to adopt a new fiveyear plan to prepare better futures. The ‘Skills For Life’ Challenge is a key moment, inspired by a bold new vision. By 2023 they say they will have prepared more young people with skills for life, supported by ‘amazing leaders’ delivering an inspiring programme. programme for 14-25-year olds. This will ensure that programmes are youth-led, relevant and accessible to young people from all backgrounds, with a focus on employability and life skills. Scouting will also explore early years’ provision with research and piloting different models to extend Scouting to under-6 year olds. We’ve got a new vision, a new brand and renewed determination to change lives
