STEP 5 One of the shapes that I created had a long simple curve. I copy it and adjusted it to my needs. With the Polygonal Lasso.

I chose grey with a white radial gradient for the background and then Copied this image from the web.

STEP 2 I then desaturated the object by using the Levels adjustment tool. Go to Image > Adjustments > Levels (Command/Ctrl + L) and adjusted the sliders as I wished until I was happy with the tone.

STEP 3 First of all, I made some copies by right clicking on the layer in the layer panel, and choosing Duplicate Layer. I repeated this step a few times to get some more Copies. I kept one as it is and modify the others. I used the Liquefy Filter. And I then picked the Twirl Clockwise Tool; I set the brush size to closely match the shape dimension.

STEP 4 I chose one shape and made a copy of it and flipped it horizontally. I did this for the all the shapes experimenting with the liquefy tool I tried to make it look looks like a face. The eyes, the cheekbones, the upper jaw and the chin making sure they look like they are in place.

STEP 6 I then had to define the temporal bones, the left and right sides of the head. I made a copy of the curve I made Earlier and changed the perspective a little also warping it to fit the shape. STEP 7 I then warped and resized most of the objects till it had more of a face shape.

STEP 8 I scanned this soft cream paper in by placing the paper in the scanner and went to the windows option where the scanner popped up and went to page setup where I cropped it I then clicked ok when it had finished scanning I then saved it into my desired file. I opened up a new file in Photoshop with 12cm by 12cm and then

STEP 10 I decided to desaturate the image so I went to adjustments desaturate. I then went to the layers panel and chose Multiply and went to image curves where I brought the Upper black line to the left to set on fades and chose ok. I then repeated this but went to choose a colour where I chose navy and played around with the black line until I was happy. I did this with a few images of the head until I

STEP 9 I duplicated a few images of the head I then placed this Image of the head on top of the paper image by using the rectangular marquees tool on my original file of the head and then went to edit copy merged and pressed command v on the new file where it pasted the image of the head.

I chose this as my final image i then broughtit into Adobe Lightroom where i set sharpning to Amount 150 Radious 3.0 Detail 100 Masking 100 Next I went to post crop settings Highlight priority Amount -63 Midpoint 100 Roundeness + 100 Feather 62 Highlights 80

STEP 1 This is the photo I took and used it is made up of the photos I took around Dublin city I was trying to portray someone being shot in the head with a camera and pictures coming out instead of blood.

STEP 2 Firstly I scanned normal brown paper in and then the soft cream paper which I saved as a jpeg I then placed them in Photoshop once I had my background ready I placed the camera shooting image over the scanned images using the magnetic lasso tool I cut the image out keeping my finger on the commend key as that way I could take all the images instead of cutting them out secretly.

STEP 3 I then imported the whole image into Adobe light room where I played around with the tones tematures, tints, recovery exposure and contrasts as you can see below.

Images i had taken around dublin I used for the photo shoot.

STEP 4 Once I was happy with the effects from light room I Imported the image back into Adobe Photoshop where I used the elliptical marquee tool too cut out a circle of the Image and placed it back over the original cream background.

STEP 6 For this torn effect I went around the image with the black boarder using the magnetic lasso tool as it cut it out roughly I then pasted it over the cream background. I also played around with the line tool.

STEP 5 For the image below I duplicated the picture and shrank it using the scale tool also I experimented with the line tool.

STEP 7 I then set the image to multiply and started playing around with curves to give it a navy Transparent look, as I wanted the same feel as the face image from image 1 as I am trying to keep a theme throughout the 4 images.

STEP 8 There wasn’t much to the image so I went to layer style and set the drop shadow to opacity 100, Distance 0; spread 46 and size 100 with noise at 23 With color 2f5375 then I set the inner shadow to opacity 100 distances 0, choke 13 and size 247 to get the feel as if it’s coming out

STEP 9 Last of all I started playing around with the Color in curves and over lapping layers because the image is transparent.

SOME ROUGH IDEA’S I DID NOT USE . I EXPLAIN HOW I MADE THE STARS IN IMAGE 4

STEP 10 Next I wanted the same feel as image 1 so I placed the image of the background from image 1 into the background of this image I then cropped out the chin area of the face and placed it in the corners.

FINAL IMAGE BELOW

Image 3 STEP 1 The first thing I did was make a duplicate of the background I then placed both these Images into Photoshop making the gold texture the background.

STEP 2 Next I cropped out the image myself and playced it over the gold texture.

Next i placed the image of the dog into a new layer in photoshop Using the magnetic lasso tool i croped out the image of the dog’s face

STEP 3 I resized the dogs head to fit the body.

STEP 4 Next I placed an image of this ghetto blaster into the into the document and then resized it to fit. I then duplicated the fingers and placed them over the handle of the ghetto blaster so that it looked that I was holding it instead of just floating there.

STEP 5 Next I scanned in four music notes I scribbled on a crumpled up piece of paper and cropped them out with the lasso tool putting them in the image below.

STEP 6 Next I placed the image of the dog and myself over the crumpled paper, using the polygon lasso tool I cropped around the image and copied and pasted it then I Delegated the layer with the original paper.

STEP 7 I then went to image - adjustment desaturate to give it a black and white look.

STEP 9 Next i went to the blending modes in layers and changed the setting to multiply to give it a transperent look.

STEP 8 I then went to image curves , once in the curves i clicked options and chose the colour 2f4665 and set output to 165

STEP 10 I then playced this image in the document .

STEP 11 Next with the city image I repeated the steps from 7 to 9 to give the city the same effect as the dog and body.

STEP 12 With the lasso tool I croped the image from step 10 image 2 and pasted it in the top left corner

FINAL IMAGE 3

Image 4 Part 1

Step 1 I opened up a canvas size 12cm by 12cm in Photoshop .I then placed the landscape and duplicated it working with the copy. . From here I used the Burn Tool and used it to darken some areas to create some shadow on the hills below the position where the buildings will be.

Step 2 Next, I dragged in the cityscape of a photo I took on the way back from the statue of liberty and resized it, and position it (I lowered its Opacity to 30% in order to position it) so the buildings nest on top of the hill. I then had to rub out around the buildings getting rid of the parts I did not want. I then used the burn tool for the building putting shadows on them and burning where the city and landscape met to give it a more natural look.

Step 5 Next I created a new layer and apply the image again (Image > Apply Image). I then added some lighting to this layer,I went to Filter > Render > Lighting Effects and selected the Spotlight at around 12:30 after I played around with all the options and angles.

Step 6 I then made another new layer and applied the image once again. I wanted to play around with the color so I went to Image > Adjustments > Color Balance. I Selected the Midtones radio button and in the three Color Levels boxes, I entered these values: +46 +11 +13 then I selected the Highlights radio button and entered these values: +26 +16 -7.

Step 3 Next I duplicate the city layer and fliped them around useing horizontal flip and position them so that they filled the rest of the hilltops again lowering the opacity and rubbing away what i did not need. Step 7 Next added two gradient maps. To do this I click on the half black, half white circle on the bottom of the layers palette and from the menu selected Gradient Map. In the Dialogue box, I selected a Purple > Orange gradient and clicked ok. I Set this layer to soft light and lowered the Opacity to 50%. I then did the same again but this time I Selected a Black > White gradient map which I Set to Darken and lowered the Opacity to 20%. Step 4 For the next step, I udsed some star/planet brushes that i downloaded on the web .On a new layer, I selected a few brushes that i thought look best.

Step 8 I Created another new layer and applyed the image again. I went to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur, I draged the slider to around 1.0 and hit Enter. I then set this layer to soft light at 20%.

Step 9 Next I played around with the depth of the image using curves. To do this, I clicked on the half black, half white circle on the bottom of the layers palette and from the menu click on Curves. From the Preset list or command N, Select Custom. Now I played around with the curves for each RGB color in the Channels list.

Step 10 Next, I sharpened the image, so I went to Filter > Sharpen > Sharpen. and Lowered the Opacity of this layer to 30%.

I then added a bit more depth to the image, by adding another curves layer. I Set the Preset back to None and played about with the curves until I was happy with the image.

Image 4 Part 2 Step 1 I opened up a new file 12cm by 12cm. I placed an image of the galaxy I got from the Internet. I Pressed CMD+T and resized the image to 50% and rotate it at -33.0. I then used a 200px 0% hardness round brush (in my defaults) and erased away the red areas edges.

Step 2 Next I Placed this image onto my document. I Set the layer to Lighten and and the opacity to 50% and begin erasing around the edges .

Step 3 I placed the last image into the file again and rubbed away difrent parts of the galexy also setting it to lighten.

Step 4 Next I playced the navey image below of a galexy and resized it to fit the canves and set the layer to lighten.

Step 5 Once I was happy with the above image I placed my final image into my Document and you guessed it I set the layer to lighten and erased away some areas with my round brush leaving me with the finished galaxy below on the rite.

SREP 6 Next i brought the image of the galaxy into the image of the city and placed the galexy over the city with an opacity of 84%.

STEP 7 I then rubbed away parts of the galaxy that were covering the city .

STEP 8 Next I playced the cream paper into the file behind the city and galexy image’s .

STEP 9 I then rubbed out with a soft 200 pixel brush some of the galaxy and city sky so you could see the paper background .

STEP 10 Next I brought in the image of the face from image 1 and rubbed away the left side keeping just the eye area which gave it a kind of spaceship , astroid feel to it.

STEP 11 Last of all i played around with the curves changing the clour and shadows.

STEP 12 This was the final image i chose but i then brought it into Adobe Lightroom where i set the setting to Colour Temp 0, Tint 0 Tone: Exposure 0, recovery 0 Fill light 0,Blacks0,Brightness 0, Contrast 0 Presence: Clarity 0 Vibrance 0 Saturation 0 Sharpning : Amount 150, Radius 3.0 ,Detail 100, Masking 0 Luminance 0, Clour 0 Highlight priority: Amount -80, Midpoint 100, Roundness +100, Feather 100 Highlights 0
