INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE

Our perceptions are altered by what society deems fit which affects what

INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE

INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE

segregates the difference between a house and a home. But who is to say that that is correct? It drives me to think about the endless possibilities that can exist in a small area. Adaptation is key in this ever-changing world. It is all about experiencing something new, every moment, even for a place that has existed for decades. I believe by incorporating fluidity into rigidity, it allows people to interpret interior spaces freely. The design of interiors and art of organizing interior spaces are what makes up architecture. Without those, all buildings will just be like any other.

BUBBLE

Designed for hot-desking Interior Designers, Cube Square aims to be the ideal conducive space for users to work, so-

cial network and meet clients. With unique configuration of

certain furniture, this space gives users a different experience

INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE

as compared to the other co-working spaces in the vicinity.

Before coming up with a concept and ideation, I came up with a bubble diagram which allows me to better plan in terms of spaces, on how I want the spaces to flow and have relationship with each other. It also allows INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE

me to visualise how my vertical connection will work out.

INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE

Before starting on concepts and ideation, I did an extensive site analysis on the site and its surroundings to help me better understand the dynamics of the place,

from types of patrons to what they do when they go to the Bras Basah complex. After studying the history of Bras Basah Complex and its area, I gained

INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE

a lot of information and got inspired.

By analysing the the landmarks around the site, it gives me a rough idea of the reason why people come to

this area and allows me to narrow down on the specific functions that I want to put in my space, to attract these people to Bras Basah Complex.

As Bras Basah Complex has been around for a few decades, I compared it to a

INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE

newer retail bulding, giving me a better idea on how to create a unique and

different user experience to my users.
