Sunday night, “Evolution, The Ultimate Tribute to Journey,” will play from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the Main Stage Outside at the Winners Inn & Casino. Evolution has chosen not to impersonate or become a look-a-like Journey tribute
band. Rather, the group’s sole focus has been on the music and professionalism of Journey, accurately recreating the music in its most powerful sense with remarkable drums, bass and keyboards, natural lead vocals and signature guitar tone. The result is a fabulous, powerful, high energy show that is guaranteed to have the entire venue standing and singing every song all night long. Journey lovers are in for a truly special experience. Count on John Siino, Jerrol Reavis, Jess Reyes, Doug Lippi, Eric Fleming and Mike Cronan to close out another fabulous year of Run-A-Mucca.
“Steel Breeze” will play the Winners Inn & Casino Lounge beginning at 9 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. The Renobased band will bring their U.S. hit song, “You Don’t Want Me Anymore” along with a host of other American rock favorites. Tamara Mclean (“Tammy Tam Tam”), Tommy Mclean, Kevin Strawn, Dan Bauer and John Dabaghian, will deliver one high-energy very good time.
But this year’s big news is “Quiet Riot,” who will play for crowds Saturday night from 9 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. during the Burning
Bike spectacular on the Main Stage Outside at the Winners Inn & Casino.
“Quiet Riot” was the first heavy metal band to top the pop chart at #1 on Billboard magazine. The Los Angeles quartet became an overnight sensation thanks to their monster 1983 smash album “Metal Health.” Legendary bassist and Metal Health founding member Rudy Sarzo has returned “Quiet Riot” after almost a 20-year absence.
As per the wishes of Frankie Banali, who passed away in 2020, and the Banali estate, “Quiet Riot” continues its historic journey in 2023. The lineup is composed of guitarist Alex Grossi, vocalist Jizzy Pearl, and is now joined by drummer Johnny Kelly.
As Winnemucca Convention and Visitors Authority Marketing and Special Events Coordinator Darrel Field said, “It’s time for fans to fasten their seatbelts, ease the seat back, and let the music do its work; people are going to love these bands.”
